Salary: 20,000 ZAR - 25,000 ZAR
Working Hours & Conditions: UK Hours (Monday-Friday)
Employment: Full Time - Independent Contractor
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Irish-based management consultancy specializing in sales strategy and business growth. We serve a diverse range of UK and global clients, including renewable energy franchises operating across the UK (focusing on solar PV, air source heat pumps, and related home energy products) on behalf of a forward-thinking, inclusive, multi-billion-pound turnover UK energy company.
We are rapidly scaling our remote telephone sales team—known internally as the “Ninjas”—and are looking for articulate, customer-focused professionals to join our fast-growing, collaborative operation. Joining us means entering an established, fully remote team with a vibrant workplace culture driven by daily collaboration via Google Workspace and Google Chat.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As an Appointment Setter, you are the crucial first point of contact for warm, inbound customers who have proactively expressed interest in solar panels, heat pumps, or both. This is strictly a non-cold-calling role—every contact is a warm-to-hot inbound enquiry generated through marketing.
Your mission is to guide prospective customers seamlessly through our pre- and post-proposal stages, delivering exceptional customer service, gathering critical property details, and setting up our technical specialists for success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead Engagement & Qualification: Engage warm and hot prospective customers via inbound/outbound calls, strictly utilizing high-intent marketing leads with zero cold calling.
- Script & Flow Mastery: Follow structured “Pre-Proposal” and “Post-Proposal” call flows to guide customers through each stage of their journey with clarity and consistency.
- Interactive Estimations: Walk customers through an online estimate tool using their UK postcode to provide indicative panel counts, battery sizes, and cost estimates.
- Data Capture & System Management: Accurately gather core property and customer information for the design team, logging all interactions and call outcomes in our CRM (Payaca) and telephony system (Aircall).
- Objection Handling & Follow-Up: Conduct post-proposal follow-ups to answer questions, address basic objections, and advance customers toward booking a survey or next appointment.
- Appointment Escalation: Book dedicated 30-minute specialist calls for customers with complex technical questions, ensuring accuracy over guesswork.
- Quality & Performance Standards: Maintain target performance metrics, dialing approximately 100–200 numbers daily with a target contact/conversation rate of ~50%.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in ongoing coaching, call reviews, and role-play sessions alongside the Ninja Operations Manager to continuously elevate call quality.
Requirements
- Language Proficiency: Native or near-native (fluent) English language skills with an exceptionally clear, professional, and engaging telephone manner.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in telesales, telemarketing, customer service, or phone-based sales qualification is essential.
- Regional Availability: Ability to work standard UK business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM GMT/BST) from a quiet, dedicated home office in South Africa or the Philippines with stable, high-speed internet.
- Tech Aptitude: Confident navigating CRM and VoIP systems (prior experience or quick adaptability to systems like Payaca and Aircall).
- Numerical Literacy: Comfortable handling basic numbers and technical concepts (e.g., panel counts, cost estimates). No prior solar/heat pump experience is required.
PREFERRED:
- UK Market Experience: Proven track record working on UK-facing inbound or outbound sales and qualification campaigns.
- Scripted Execution: Demonstrated ability to follow structured scripts naturally while building authentic rapport with customers.
What You’ll Bring:
- Customer-Centric Mindset: A warm, conversational tone that represents a premier UK energy brand with professionalism and integrity.
- Self-Motivation & Reliability: The discipline to thrive independently in a fully remote environment while consistently hitting daily outreach goals.
- Adaptability & Coachability: Enthusiasm for learning, accepting constructive feedback, and continuously refining your skills through training and role-plays.
- Team-First Energy: A collaborative spirit eager to contribute to a close-knit remote team and dynamic culture.
