Join our team as an Application Specialist covering Lab Filtration and Microbiology and play a key role in providing product expertise, application knowledge, and technical support throughout the customer journey. By supporting product positioning, demonstrations, and implementation activities, you will help customers successfully adopt solutions that accelerate scientific progress and contribute to better health for more people. Based within the Central territory, ideally residing in either Chicago, Houston, or Denver, you will work closely with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful application outcomes and long-term customer success.

The ideal candidate will reside in either Chicago, Houston, or Denver.


Main Responsibilities and Tasks


  • Support customer evaluations, application assessments and technical consultations by translating process requirements into appropriate product and workflow recommendations to accelerate product adoption
  • Execute application trials, validations, proof-of-concept activities and customer training by designing, coordinating and documenting customer-specific evaluation, onboarding plans and outcomes to increase implementation success rates
  • Resolve technical inquiries, application challenges and product performance issues by troubleshooting customer processes and coordinating corrective actions with relevant functions to protect customer productivity
  • Provide application expertise throughout opportunity development by contributing technical insights, competitive positioning and solution recommendations for customer use cases to improve technical suitability of proposed solutions
  • Capture customer feedback, application trends and competitive intelligence by analyzing field observations, trial outcomes and product usage patterns and sharing actionable recommendations with Product Management and relevant stakeholders to influence portfolio enhancementsns

Qualification & Skills


  • Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of technical sales, applications support, or customer facing experience in a scientific or technical environment
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant products, applications and associated customer workflows
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical and application-related issues in customer environments
  • Hands‑on technical capability, including demos, trials, evaluations and customer training activities with the ability to document application findings, trial outcomes and technical recommendations in a structured manner
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Product Management, Quality and other cross-functional stakeholders in a matrix
  • Customer orientation with the ability to understand customer needs and translate them into effective application solutions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to articulate technical value to diverse stakeholders
  • Willing to travel >50% as this role is heavily focused on external customers

Base salary range: $85,000–$110,000 (depending on experience), plus a sales incentive plan and car allowance.
