Appian Process Transformation (M&E Domain)

Tech stack:

Requirements:

• Proven experience in eliciting and documenting business requirements (user stories, epics, acceptance criteria)

• Hands-on experience with Appian in BPM/case management environments (minimum 1+ year)

• Experience in end-to-end process redesign, including as-is and to-be modelling

• Background in delivering transformation initiatives within the Meetings & Events (M&E) domain

• Experience integrating Appian with Microsoft Azure in enterprise or institutional environments

• Ability to design and configure complex workflows, business rules, and approval processes

• Strong understanding of process automation and case management platforms

• Experience working in multi-stakeholder environments (business, IT, external vendors)

• Knowledge of governance, security, and enterprise architecture frameworks

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Analytical mindset with focus on efficiency and user-centric solutions

• Experience with process modelling methodologies (BPMN or equivalent)

Nice to have:

• Exposure to EU/institutional projects or environments (e.g. EFSA context)

• Experience with M&E digital transformation programmes

• Familiarity with tools such as Miro or Figma for process and user journey mapping

• Knowledge of change management and user adoption strategies

• Experience in data and AI transformation initiatives

• Experienced in using AI tools in day-to-day workflow

Project description:

The role focuses on delivering high-impact process transformation initiatives within the Meetings & Events (M&E) domain, as part of broader digital, data, and AI transformation programmes. The consultant will work in international, multi-stakeholder environments, contributing to Appian-driven solutions and integrating them with Microsoft Azure. The project emphasizes scalable, efficient, and user-centric process automation aligned with enterprise governance and architecture standards.

Main responsibilities:

• Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements

• Lead or support end-to-end redesign of M&E processes (as-is/to-be)

• Design and implement Appian-based BPM and case management solutions

• Configure workflows, approval processes, and business rules in Appian

• Ensure seamless integration between Appian and Microsoft Azure

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors

• Support user adoption, change management, and operational readiness

• Deliver solutions aligned with governance, security, and architecture standards

• Contribute to broader data and AI transformation initiatives
