This is an 8-week online course beginning October 26, 2026, and ending December 18, 2026. The adjunct instructor is expected to conduct the course in the highest professional manner and in accordance with the terms set forth by the college.
EC102 Microeconomics: A study of the basic institutions and principles essential to an understanding of an economic system. In microeconomic terms, such concepts as a firm’s basic costs, revenues, and potential profit and loss are considered. Each of the four market conditions — perfect competition, monopoly, oligopoly, and monopolistic competition are analyzed, and its influence on a firm’s prices and production level is explained.
Plan, develop, and teach this course to support the achievement of course learning objectives
Develop the weekly course materials, in advance of the term start, following the guidelines set forth by the college and in coordination with Instructional Design Specialist
Assess and evaluate submitted work, and provide feedback to students in a timely manner
Facilitate two virtual class meetings using Microsoft Teams
Develop, require, and participate in graded discussion boards with the class
Participate in adjunct faculty training and orientation
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Masters Degree in any business related discipline, graduate or undergraduate degree in Economics preferred
Undergraduate business degree with education related Masters degree acceptable in combination with professional experience
1 or more years of teaching or two years of corporate training
2 or more years of managerial level business experience
Experience with Canvas is preferred
Experience with MS Teams is preferred
