Manage the end-to-end workplace accommodation process, including intake, evaluation, and implementation of ADA requests. Provide expert guidance to managers and HR partners on employee relations, policy interpretation, and complex employment matters.

Who we are

Make a meaningful impact on the employee experience.

At Vetcor, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We believe in creating a supportive workplace where employees feel heard, valued, and equipped to succeed. We are a community-centric veterinary services company supporting more than 900 practices across the U.S. and Canada.

We’re looking for an ADA & Employee Relations Specialist who brings empathy, sound judgment, and strong HR expertise to complex employee situations. In this role, you’ll help employees and leaders navigate workplace accommodations while ensuring a consistent, thoughtful, and well-documented process. You’ll serve as a trusted resource to employees, managers, and HR partners, helping balance individual needs with business and operational considerations. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the employee experience while strengthening our accommodation practices across a geographically dispersed organization.

What You’ll Do

Lead the Workplace Accommodation Process

  • Manage ADA accommodation requests from initial intake through evaluation, determination, implementation, and follow-up.

  • Facilitate the interactive process with employees and managers to explore reasonable workplace accommodations.

  • Review medical documentation and follow up with employees when additional information or clarification is needed.

  • Partner with Operations and HR leadership to understand essential job functions, operational needs, and potential accommodation options.

  • Prepare clear, professional communications regarding accommodation decisions, requests for information, extensions, and reassessments.

  • Monitor active accommodations, maintain accurate and confidential records, and coordinate reassessments as appropriate.

Partner with Employees and Leaders

  • Provide guidance to managers on implementing approved accommodations and understanding their ongoing responsibilities.

  • Collaborate with Leave of Absence, Employee Relations, and other HR partners when accommodations intersect with medical leave, return-to-work situations, attendance, performance concerns, or other employment matters.

  • Provide HR Generalist guidance on employee relations, company policies, workplace concerns, and other HR matters as needed.

  • Approach sensitive employee situations with empathy, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

Strengthen Processes and Best Practices

  • Identify trends, process gaps, and opportunities to improve accommodation practices.

  • Help develop and maintain ADA procedures, forms, templates, training materials, and internal resources.

  • Support training and education for managers and HR partners on the ADA, the interactive process, and workplace accommodations.

  • Stay current on developments and best practices related to workplace accommodations, leave administration, and employee relations.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, including exposure to employee relations, workplace accommodations, leaves of absence, or other complex employee matters.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices and employment laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and related accommodation requirements.

  • Experience working directly with employees and managers on confidential and sensitive workplace matters.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex or sensitive information clearly and professionally.

  • Excellent organizational, documentation, case-management, and follow-up skills.

  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to evaluate information objectively and determine when additional information is needed.

  • The ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.

  • A collaborative, employee-focused approach that balances individual needs with company policies and operational considerations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using HRIS or case-management systems.

  • The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fully remote environment.

Why This Role Matters

This role helps create a workplace where employees receive thoughtful consideration and leaders have the guidance they need to navigate complex situations. Your work will help support a fair, consistent, and well-documented accommodation process while contributing to a positive employee experience across our organization.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position requiring a professional and confidential work environment suitable for handling sensitive employee, medical, and employment-related information. Collaboration takes place through virtual meetings, email, telephone, and other company communication platforms.

Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
