Center for Community Resources is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional to join our team as an Accounting Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting leader who will provide a wide variety of general accounting and fiscal functions while helping establish and strengthen the agency’s accounting operations. The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, budgeting, grant accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close. This position will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards, strengthening internal controls, and providing financial information to management and the Board of Directors. Work in a collaborative and supportive environment while helping build an efficient, accountable, and sustainable fiscal function that supports the mission and continued growth of Center for Community Resources. This position is daylight hours, Monday through Friday with the ability for some flex scheduling. Potential for future remote work opportunities. No weekends or holidays required. The salary range for this position is $65,000/year - $85,000/year and is an exempt position. Reports to the CFO.   Essential Functions: Oversees accounting operations, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, journal entries, allocations, and month-end close. Prepares and reviews financial reports, budget-to-actual reports, spending analyses, and other fiscal reports for management and the Board of Directors. Monitors cash flow, bank activity, restricted funds, grant balances, and funding source requirements. Supports annual agency and program budgeting, including monitoring, analysis, and revisions. Maintains grant accounting compliance by tracking expenditures, reviewing allowable costs, and preparing required fiscal documentation and reports. Ensures accounting practices comply with agency policies, GAAP, funder requirements, and nonprofit accounting standards. Assists with annual audits, funder monitoring, and other financial reviews by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to information requests. Supports internal controls, segregation of duties, fiscal procedures, and process improvements. Provides guidance, cross-training, and backup coverage for fiscal staff as needed. Maintains accurate fiscal records in accordance with retention, funder, agency, and regulatory requirements. Performs other duties as assigned to support the fiscal operations and mission of Center for Community Resources. Qualifications: An associate's degree in accounting or finance AND five years or more of fiscal experience including one year with computerized financial systems. Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel. Strong analytic and problem-solving skills. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Outstanding presentation skills with the ability to interact with people of all constituent groups. Able to take a hands-on approach to completion of tasks and functions Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required. Experience Five or more years of fiscal experience including one year with computerized financial systems. Prior nonprofit financial reporting. Licenses, Cert. or Clearances Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances. Valid Driver’s License. Car Insurance Coverage Verification.     Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities   Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel. Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
