Account Manager - DACH Region

Position Summary:

We are looking for a driven, technically fluent Account Manager to expand our presence in the DACH region. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and sales, requiring the ability to engage deeply with technical stakeholders while driving measurable business outcomes. You will be responsible for both acquiring new customers and growing existing accounts. Working alongside our team of Applications Engineers, you will lead the efforts from discovery and solution positioning through deal execution and account expansion. Success in this role means understanding your customers’ business challenges and translating them into impactful solutions that drive top and bottom-line results.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive new business acquisition while expanding and retaining existing accounts
• Own the full sales cycle: discovery, value positioning, proposal development, and closin
• Build relationships with key buying influences who can serve as business champions for TWS
• Identify customers’ business initiatives and align them with value-based solutions
• Prospect through referrals, events and targeted outreach (including LinkedIn)
• Engage in discussions with engineering stakeholders and translate complex simulation software capabilities into business value
• Develop and execute strategic account plans in collaboration with internal teams
• Partner with Applications Engineering to execute the pre-sales proof-of-concept process
• Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking in CRM (Salesforce)
• Remain knowledgeable of TWS new and existing products for supporting the differentiating value
• Represent TWS at industry events, tradeshows, and technical conferences

Requirements

Required

• 3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, or a related field
• Proven ability to drive revenue and close complex deals
• Experience engaging both technical and business stakeholders
• Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business value
• Fluent in German and English
• Proficient with CRM systems and modern prospecting tools (e.g., LinkedIn)
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel up to 30-50%, depending on customer needs

Preferred

• Experience in automotive, aerospace, or cutting tool industries
• Experience with structured sales methodologies (Miller Heiman, MEDIC, MEDPIC, or Challenger)
• Familiarity with CAE software
