JOB DESCRIPTION:

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Account Executive to own and grow a portfolio of strategic customer accounts. This role goes beyond day-to-day account management: you will act as a trusted advisor to your clients, translate their business objectives into tailored solutions, and identify the expansion opportunities that drive sustained revenue growth. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams — including Customer Service and Product Development — you will bring the voice of the customer into the business and shape an experience that strengthens retention and long-term loyalty. Success in this position is measured by portfolio growth, account retention, and the depth of the relationships you build at every level of the customer organization. Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the customer relationship. Serve as the primary point of accountability for your accounts, building trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders and executive sponsors that endure beyond any single transaction.

  • Grow the portfolio. Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within existing accounts, negotiating and closing agreements that meet sales targets while protecting long-term profitability.

  • Understand the customer's business. Learn each client's objectives, pressures, and success measures, and use that insight to position solutions that deliver measurable value.

  • Drive delivery and results. Ensure solutions are delivered on time and against agreed objectives, mobilizing internal teams and resolving escalations before they put the relationship at risk.

  • Own the forecast. Track and forecast key account metrics, maintain accurate pipeline data, and communicate account health, risks, and quarterly progress clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Influence across the business. Bring the voice of the customer to Sales, Customer Service, and Product Development, advocating for the changes that improve retention and overall client experience.

  • Expand the territory. Partner with the broader sales team to uncover new opportunities within your territory and contribute to account strategies that scale beyond your own portfolio.

Required qualifications

  • Account ownership experience. Proven success managing and growing a portfolio of customer accounts in an account management, key account, or sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

  • Executive-level influence. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and build credibility with stakeholders at every level of an organization, including executive and C-suite audiences.

  • Consultative selling. Experience diagnosing customer needs and delivering client-focused solutions, supported by strong listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Disciplined execution. Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities simultaneously without losing attention to detail or follow-through.

  • Systems fluency. Working proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office, particularly Excel.

  • Location. Must reside in or near the Pheonix, AZ market

Preferred qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field, or 5 years equivalent practical experience.

  • 3 years’ experience in automotive services, retail, franchise, or another multi-site operating environment.

  • Familiarity with partnering across Operations, Customer Service, and Product teams to resolve customer issues at the root cause.
