Provide crisis and suicide intervention counseling via telephone and monitor caller status through case follow-up. Supervise volunteers and provide crisis intervention training to community groups and other service providers.

The Payment Specialist is responsible for processing insurance and self-pay checks, reconciling payments, and applying contractual adjustments to patient accounts. They also monitor electronic remittances, manage credit balances, and ensure accurate record-keeping of all financial transactions.

Perform clinical services including intakes, therapeutic interventions, and crisis intervention for individuals, groups, and families. Maintain detailed service documentation and collaborate with external agencies and school officials to coordinate client care.

The UM Specialist verifies mental health and substance abuse benefits while managing the authorization lifecycle from intake to discharge. They also collaborate with operations staff to resolve billing issues and ensure accurate documentation for retro reviews and appeals.

The specialist is responsible for completing and electronically transmitting insurance claims, monitoring accounts for compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial specifications, and ensuring demographic, CPT, and charge accuracy on 1500 forms. They must also follow up on unpaid claims, research Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for reimbursement issues, and maintain communication with insurance companies and providers.
