The System Safety Project Engineer is responsible for managing the safety and certification of Glydways automated transit network projects from late-stage design through operational readiness. This includes leading hazard analysis, developing safety cases, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role involves developing interfaces between autonomy software components, hardware modules, and track infrastructure systems, alongside designing, implementing, and maintaining simulation capabilities and metrics. Responsibilities also include maintaining core onboard functionality, fixing bugs across the stack, and writing safety-rated requirements for the vehicle safety system.

The intern will focus on multimodal efficient deep learning for safety-critical autonomous driving systems, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative models and algorithms to enhance the perception stack. Responsibilities include implementing and fine-tuning state-of-the-art onboard multimodal multitask ML perception models and researching areas like multiview sensor fusion and scene understanding.

The engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining the high-throughput, event-driven Ticketing & Ride Request (TRR) backend system, which manages ride matching, queueing, and lifecycle management. They will also focus on improving system observability, collaborating on API design, and participating actively in incident response and post-mortems.

As a cybersecurity engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain the security architecture for Operational Technology networks. You will work with various engineering teams to ensure secure and reliable V2X communications.
