The consultant will provide post-go-live hypercare, configuration, and production support for Workday Learning. They will act as an escalation point for technical issues, perform EIB data loads, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure system stability.
Location: Chennai — Remote
Contract: October 12, 2026 – April 12, 2027
Hours: 40 hours/week
Rate: ₹700–₹1,200/hour
We’re looking for an experienced Workday Learning Consultant to support post-go-live hypercare and ongoing configuration, testing, EIB, and production support activities.
This role will focus on Workday Learning after go-live rather than executing the SumTotal-to-Workday migration itself. The consultant will work alongside the migration vendor and internal Workday production support team, serving as an escalation point for Learning issues that require deeper configuration and technical analysis.
Configure Workday Learning, including security groups, business processes, campaigns, courses, and programs.
Build, test, and execute Learning-specific EIBs for courses, enrollments, completions, content, and related data.
Test configuration changes and EIB loads in lower environments before production deployment.
Analyze Workday Learning business logic, configuration, and security rules to resolve escalated issues.
Investigate root causes and implement fixes rather than simply routing support tickets.
Assess the impact of changes in other HCM modules on Workday Learning, including organizational, security, and business process changes.
Provide post-go-live hypercare and stabilization support following the SumTotal-to-Workday transition.
Document root causes, solutions, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Work with the migration vendor to translate their design into sustainable internal support processes.
Provide knowledge transfer and training to the internal Workday production support team.
Hands-on Workday Learning configuration experience, preferably across multiple implementations.
Strong experience with Workday EIBs, particularly Learning-related data objects.
Experience testing configuration and data changes across lower and production environments.
Ability to independently analyze Workday business processes, security, and configuration.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex Workday Learning issues.
Comfortable working directly with implementation/migration vendors and internal production support teams.
Workday Learning certification.
Experience with Workday Learning post-migration hypercare.
Familiarity with SumTotal LMS and/or SuccessFactors LMS.
Understanding of cross-module HCM impacts on Workday Learning, particularly security, organizational structures, and business processes.
Important: This is not a SumTotal-to-Workday migration execution role. The migration build is owned by the migration vendor. The focus is on Workday Learning configuration, EIBs, testing, analysis, troubleshooting, and post-go-live support.
