Purpose of the Role

The Women's National Team Kit Manager is responsible for providing and managing all team kit, equipment, and supplies for training, travel, and matches. Working directly with the Republic of Ireland Women's National Team (WNT) during international camps, the role ensures all kit operations are delivered to the highest professional standard.  

The WNT are typically active in at least five (5) FIFA windows during a calendar year, including UEFA Qualifications for World Cup/European Championships and UEFA Nations League], as well as international friendlies. Additional activity can include UEFA European Women's Championship Finals and FIFA Women’s World Cup upon qualification. 

The successful candidate will work closely with another WNT Kit Manger, FAI Kit Room Team and the International Department.  It would be an expectation that the successful candidate would be available for the required activity dates and before and after the camps to prepare for and pack up after the activity. Candidates deemed suitable but not appointed to this role may be offered inclusion on the panel for consideration for future international team kit management opportunities across the Association. 

Key Responsibilities

Kit & Equipment Management 

• Work closely with the other Women's National Team Kit Manager and FAI Kit Room team to plan and deliver annual and camp-specific kit requirements. 

• Ensure players and staff have the required training, travel, leisure and match kit for each camp. 

• Coordinate match kit preparation, including names, numbers, sleeve badges and other competition-specific branding. 

• Coordinate the provision of training equipment in collaboration with coaching and Team Operations staff. 

• Conduct quality control checks to ensure all kit and equipment is in excellent condition and correctly branded before distribution. 

• Ensure all kit is laundered, packed and stored appropriately at the conclusion of each camp. 

Camp Operations 

• Deliver all kit operations before, during and after camp in line with International Operations Department directives. 

• Manage the security, organisation and day-to-day operation of the in-camp kit room. 

• Oversee the distribution, collection, inventory and accurate record-keeping of all kit and equipment throughout camp. 

• Coordinate laundry services to ensure kit is cleaned, prepared and available as required. 

• Implement daily kit plans to maintain a consistent and professional appearance across players and staff. 

Matchday & Training Support 

• Prepare team dressing rooms and coaches' areas for all home and away fixtures. 

• Support coaching staff with the setup of training equipment. 

• Assist with the preparation and freight of team equipment for away fixtures. 

• Assist with match-day and travel logistics as required. 

Compliance & Standards 

• Ensure all kit and equipment complies with UEFA, FIFA and FAI regulations, including commercial partner branding requirements. 

• Maintain awareness of all governing body and commercial partner requirements relating to kit and equipment. 

Team Collaboration 

• Attend backroom team meetings as requested by the Team Operations Coordinator or Head Coach. 

• Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role as required. 

Person Specification

Experience & Qualifications

Essential 

• Experience in kit management, logistics or equipment operations. 

• Experience working within a football or elite sports environment. 

• Experience supporting high-performance teams. 

• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

• Knowledge of UEFA and FIFA kit and equipment regulations. 

• Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel extensively, including internationally. 

• Right to work in Ireland. 

Desirable 

• Experience working within women's football. 

• Qualification in Sports Management, Sports Science, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline. 

• Manual Handling and/or Occupational First Aid certification. 

• Experience using inventory or stock management systems.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail. 

• Strong planning and logistical coordination skills.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and travel domestically and internationally as required.
