How Your Role Makes a Difference

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communication, coordination, and leadership between Branch Directors, and the National Office;
  • Oversee multiple regions with complex and diverse service delivery models, managing a combined portfolio exceeding $18 million in annual revenue;
  • Lead, develop, and coach regional leadership to include Branch Directors and Regional Directors;
  • Oversee regional operations, ensuring effective talent management, including the selection, training, and performance development of Branch Directors;
  • Represent Bethany when responding to constituent concerns, interest, and/or grievances;
  • Advise on and ensure compliance with Bethany policy and procedures, along with external agency policies across respective region;
  • Collaborate with the regional branches and National Office to assure quality standards, customer service, strategic objectives, budget, and operational goals are achieved on a monthly and annual basis;
  • Represent Bethany at external community affiliates and other professional organizations;
  • Conduct on-site visits to regional branch offices on a quarterly or as needed basis;
  • Facilitate the annual budget process with the region to assure thoroughness, accuracy, and timely submission;
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and/or coordinate the Branch support for programs within the designated region;
  • Actively participate in national leadership meetings, including travel to the national office as needed;
  • Facilitate operational scalability by implementing best practices, technological innovation, and data-driven decision-making processes;
  • Monitor the on-going budget performance across respective regional branches to ensure growth and strong performance indicators;
  • Administer performance coaching or disciplinary action as required when performance is low within a branch due to the Branch Directors poor performance;
  • Oversee and ensure branch compliance with all applicable agencies, federal, state, local, and third-party governmental agency policies;
  • Assist the branch with developing the appropriate financial support through grants, foundations, constituent organizations, and individual donors;
  • Stay abreast of child welfare concerns, related legislative trends, and external practices;
  • Provide leadership and representation at national and international forums (as needed) to influence expansion of Bethany’s geographical footprint, increase the agility of the Refugee an Immigrant operational model, improve delivery and results, and achieve efficiencies and cost savings while delivering high impact for children and families;
  • Perform Branch Directors job performance evaluations, as well as quarterly job performance reviews;
  • Requires strategic guidance and collaboration with Senior Vice President of Administrative Operations;
  • Essential job responsibilities may vary based on the specific needs of each program/department;
  • May be required or asked to participate in a Bethany sponsored event;
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Bachelor’s level degree in related field of study from an accredited college;
  • At least five (5) years of progressive experience in a similar role;
  • Master’s level degree in related field of study from an accredited college, strongly preferred;
  • At least (5) years of experience in executive level positions with managerial experience with leading remote teams;
  • At least (2) years of experience in financial management and budget design;
  • Bilingual, a plus;
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly matrixed and collaborative organization, where managing by influence is key;
  • Travel 25% of the time for regional site visits;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability in increasing the capture rate of grants and domestic contract funding opportunities;
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany;
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage;
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
