AI Summary

The VP of Client Development will drive revenue growth by managing a pipeline of new business and expanding existing client accounts within the healthcare sector. They will serve as a senior partner to clients, providing consultative research solutions and fostering long-term relationships.

This position is fully remote.

POSITION SUMMARY:

TriVoca Health is seeking a seasoned, client-obsessed growth leader to join our team as Vice President, Client Development. This is a dual-focus senior role: expanding our footprint by winning new business in the healthcare sector, and deepening the value we deliver to existing clients through strategic cross-sell, consultative partnership, and proactive account development.

This role is ideal for someone who is equally energized by building new relationships and growing the ones already in place — someone who brings deep healthcare industry knowledge, sharp commercial instincts, and a genuine belief that great market research changes how clients make decisions. We're looking for a leader with a 'we over me' mentality who drives results for clients and colleagues alike.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grow Revenue — New Business & Existing Accounts

  • Build and manage a balanced pipeline of new logo prospects and expansion opportunities within the existing client portfolio, pursuing both at equal priority.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities by staying close to client goals, account activity, and evolving research needs — proactively introducing TriVoca capabilities clients aren’t yet using.
  • Leverage industry networks, conferences, and digital channels to establish footholds within key healthcare organizations.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue, profitability, and client satisfaction targets across new and existing business.

Build & Deepen Client Relationships

  • Serve as a trusted senior partner to a portfolio of healthcare clients — managing relationships, maintaining account health, and ensuring strong retention and profitability.
  • Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and budget holders across both new prospects and existing accounts.
  • Travel as needed to meet clients, strengthen partnerships, and stay close to their evolving priorities and challenges.

Deliver Consultative Solutions

  • Consult on research design, methodologies, and business challenges to ensure TriVoca’s solutions align with client goals.
  • Develop compelling proposals and presentations that communicate value clearly — whether introducing TriVoca to a new client or expanding into a new service area with an existing one.
  • Lead cross-sell conversations with confidence, translating TriVoca’s full capability set into timely, relevant opportunities.

Partner Internally

  • Collaborate with delivery, project management, and leadership teams to pursue and execute on both new and expansion opportunities.
  • Share client feedback and market intelligence with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and product alignment.
  • Model a culture of shared accountability where client success is everyone’s responsibility.

ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS AT TRIVOCA:

At TriVoca, we believe how work gets done matters just as much as the results themselves. Our values shape the way we show up for clients, for each other, and for the business. Successful VPs of Client Development embody all four:

  • Be Collaborative — You don't win alone. You bring delivery teams in early, loop in leadership at the right moments, and share credit generously. You see internal relationships as just as important as external ones — because the best client outcomes come from teams that trust each other.
  • Stay Curious — You ask better questions than most. You dig into what clients actually need — not just what they asked for — and you stay close to industry shifts, competitive moves, and emerging research methodologies. Curiosity is your edge in both new business and cross-sell conversations.
  • Take Action — You move with urgency and ownership. You don't wait for perfect information — you build pipeline, make the call, follow up, and close. When something isn't working, you course-correct fast and hold yourself accountable to results.
  • Put the Client at the Center of Everything We Do — Every relationship you build, every proposal you write, every cross-sell conversation you have — it starts with what's right for the client. You help TriVoca earn long-term trust by making sure clients always feel understood, valued, and well-served.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, account management, or client-facing commercial roles — ideally within market research, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Demonstrated track record of winning new business and growing existing accounts, with comfort managing both motions simultaneously.
  • Experience leading cross-sell or account expansion initiatives, including identifying opportunities and building internal alignment to pursue them.
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem — including pharma, biotech, medical devices, and/or payer/provider dynamics.
    • Experience working with or selling market research, insights, or data solutions is strongly preferred.
    • Prior experience in a senior individual contributor or leadership role at a research, consulting, or professional services firm a plus.

Skills

  • Exceptional relationship-building skills — able to earn trust quickly with senior stakeholders across new and existing client organizations.
  • Consultative sales approach — skilled at listening, diagnosing needs, and building solutions rather than pitching products.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage pipeline, forecast accurately, and report on performance with clarity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — compelling in person, on a call, and in a proposal.
  • Highly organized and self-directed; able to manage a complex portfolio of opportunities and accounts without losing momentum on either.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
