Position overview

The VP Business Development is responsible for delivering sustained new-logo revenue growth for CIBT’s Immigration business. 

The role exists to introduce focus, structure, and commercial discipline into new business sales, shifting the organization toward higher-value, ICP-aligned opportunities that materially grow revenue. 

This leader will build a predictable new business engine, improve deal quality and win rates, and ensure sales effort is consistently directed at the opportunities that matter most. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Sales Strategy and Focus 

  • Translate the agreed Immigration ICP into clear sales priorities and execution 
  • Drive focus on higher-value new customer opportunities that deliver meaningful revenue growth 
  • Ensure sales effort is aligned to target industries, buyer profiles, and deal sizes 
  • Raise the commercial bar on opportunity selection, deal pursuit, and competitive positioning 

 

Pipeline Ownership and Revenue Delivery 

  • Own new business pipeline quality, coverage, and conversion 
  • Improve average deal size and overall win rates, particularly on larger opportunities 
  • Increase time spent on high-impact opportunities that align with growth objectives 
  • Deliver reliable, credible new business forecasts and revenue outcomes 

 

Team Leadership and Performance 

  • Lead and develop new business sales teams, including ISRs, BDRs, and sellers 
  • Coach teams to sell confidently into complex, multi-stakeholder environments 
  • Set clear expectations for performance, preparation, and accountability 
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on outcomes rather than activity 

 

Cross-Functional and Regional Alignment 

  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure alignment on ICP targeting, lead quality, and conversion to pipeline 
  • Partner with RevOps to improve data quality, reporting, and visibility of new business performance 
  • Collaborate with local market Managing Directors to support regional growth priorities and local market strategy 

 

Success Measures 

  • Growth in new-logo revenue year over year 
  • Increased average deal size across new business wins 
  • Strong, value-weighted pipeline coverage 
  • Improved conversion rates on ICP-fit opportunities 
  • Predictable, credible forecasting and reporting of new business performance 

 

Experience and Profile 

  • 15+ years of B2B sales experience, including senior leadership roles 
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering sustained new business revenue growth 
  • Experience building or transforming new business sales organizations with clear structure and discipline 
  • Strong background in complex, long-cycle sales with multiple stakeholders 
  • Experience leveraging sales technology, data, and outreach tools to improve focus, productivity, and conversion 
  • Comfortable operating across regions and working with local market leadership 
  • Data-literate, commercially sharp, and confident engaging at executive level
