Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled clinician with advanced expertise in ERP and ACT to provide intensive, evidence-based virtual care for individuals with high-acuity OCD. A strong therapist candidate for a virtual OCD Intensive Treatment Service is a clinician with advanced training in CBT, ERP, ACT, HRT, and PE. This role requires exceptional clinical judgment, strong crisis-management skills, and the ability to deliver structured individual and group therapy in a fast-paced higher level of care setting. The ideal candidate demonstrates steady clinical presence, clear directive intervention, excellent documentation, and the capacity to support complex presentations. Reliability, strong boundaries, and effective collaboration across a multidisciplinary, virtual team are essential.This clinician is skilled in delivering clear, directive interventions while maintaining warmth, transparency, and collaborative communication with both members and their families. They excel in virtual care delivery, adapt seamlessly across time zones, and can confidently hold boundaries, manage crises appropriately, and document to a high standard. Ideal candidates bring experience treating complex presentations (including co-occurring PTSD and body-focused repetitive behaviors) even if formal program tracks for those conditions are not yet active. Above all, they show strong clinical presence, reliability, and the ability to motivate members through intensive, evidence-based work while contributing to a cohesive, high-functioning clinical team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations virtually for internal and external candidates for Intensive
  • Treat high-acuity OCD as the primary presentation, including common co-occurring conditions (depression, anxiety, trauma, body-focused repetitive behaviors), using CBT, ERP, ACT, HRT, Motivational interviewing and PE.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the variety of ways clients express stress reactions both behaviorally (e.g., avoidance, aggression, passivity) and psychologically/emotionally (e.g., hyperarousal, avoidance, intrusive memories)
  • Provide individual and group therapy in a virtual setting with a team approach to clinical and administrative functions. 
  • Provide ongoing case management, ensuring continuity between members, clinicians, external providers, community agencies, and support systems.
  • Ongoing assessment of safety concerns and risk, escalating per protocol
  • Support Members’ engagement and treatment adherence through check-ins, motivational strategies, and consistent communication.
  • Session-level clinical adjustments and exposure hierarchy changes
  • Group redirection and in-the-moment management of treatment-interfering behavior
  • Initial risk assessment and safety planning within protocol
  • Routine coordination with outside providers and community agencies
  • Aftercare and discharge planning within program guidelines
  • Maintaining assigned caseload for members individual and family therapy while members are in program
  • Develop treatment plans, assist in aftercare and discharge planning. 
  • Maintain strategic relationships with community therapists  and local agencies to support referral pathways and program partnerships..
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally (clinical, operations, leadership) to maintain clinical excellence, communicate program needs, and support workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and track program outcomes, including EHR records, metrics, KPIs, workflow updates, and improvement feedback.
  • Maintain Member records and ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
  • Provide individual, group, multi-family groups, and family therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with other clinicians to provide comprehensive care.
  • Full Time Providers:
    • 40 hour work week
    • Complete 25 hours of direct clinical work per week
    • Attend a world-class training program developed by industry leaders
    • Attend 2 hours of weekly group clinical consultation
    • Will participate in and complete cross-license application as needed for program expansion
    • Approximately 15 hours per week facilitating Intensive groups and Intensive admission assessments, individual sessions, supported ERP, pre-screening calls, and family sessions. The ratio is set by program census and reviewed monthly. The other 12 expected clinical hours are in the outpatient network. 
    • Clinicians move between both functions within the same day. 
  • Organized, quick and enthusiastic learner, excellent communicator, good with time management
  • Have a confidential, private location to work remotely from with reliable internet access
  • Comfortable and efficient with using technology to communicate
  • Ambitious and ready to keep up with a goal-driven, start-up environment

Qualifications: 

  • Full and unrestricted license in good standing to practice in your state. 
    • Masters Degree Required
    • Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor,  Licensed Clinical Social Worker or equivalent in California. 
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist preferred
  • Highly organized and flexible professional who is a quick and enthusiastic learner, equipped with excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills, and effective time-management capabilities.
  • Navigate complex cases in a group setting
  • Raises disagreement with the person involved, close to when it happens, with a specific proposal rather than letting concerns accumulate or escalating first.
  • Takes clinical feedback in group consultation and applies it to program skills
  • Navigation of group dynamics and works collaboratively with team to pivot the milieu
  • Have a confidential, private location to work remotely from with reliable internet access
  • Comfortable and efficient with using technology to communicate
  • Ambitious and ready to keep up with a goal-driven, start-up environment
  • Proficiency in various treatment modalities like CBT, ERP, and ACT. MI is a plus.
  • 2 year+ experience Group curriculum, facilitation and therapeutic milieu skills preferred
  • 2 year+ experience in higher level of care models (IOP, PHP, RES, IP) preferred
  • 3 year + Experience with a wide range of evidenced based interventions preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Empathy and a genuine desire to help patients with high levels of avoidance and resistance.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations with members in group settings, including risk assessments, variable use of interventions and strategies, and needed follow-up. 
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and team support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team
  • Effective with shifting roles, responsibilities, and expectations in an unpredictable environment.

Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000 with eligibility for performance bonus
