Gritter Francona is looking for a Videographer that will be responsible for capturing, producing, and editing high-quality video content supporting the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) National Center for PTSD's educational media initiatives. The Videographer films task-related events, interviews, presentations, and supplemental footage used in the development of animated and live-action educational products and may perform post-production editing to create final deliverable products.
Working collaboratively with project managers, video producers, scriptwriters, subject matter experts (SMEs), animated graphic/visual artists, and Government stakeholders, the Videographer ensures that all video content supports the National Center for PTSD's mission to provide evidence-based, accessible, and trauma-informed educational resources. Video products must accurately convey scientific and clinical information while maintaining a serious, compassionate, and hopeful tone that encourages treatment engagement among Veterans, trauma survivors, caregivers, healthcare providers, and the general public.
Key Responsibilities
- Film task-related events, interviews, presentations, demonstrations, and other project activities as required to support educational video production.
- Capture high-quality video and audio using professional production equipment while ensuring appropriate lighting, framing, composition, and sound quality.
- Coordinate with project managers, video producers, and Government stakeholders to plan filming activities, production schedules, and location logistics.
- Review scripts, storyboards, production plans, and creative direction to ensure video footage aligns with project objectives and educational messaging.
- Operate and maintain cameras, audio recording equipment, lighting systems, tripods, and other production equipment.
- Perform post-production editing, including sequencing, color correction, audio enhancement, graphics integration, captioning, and rendering final deliverable products, as required.
- Integrate filmed footage with animation, motion graphics, narration, and other multimedia elements to support cohesive educational products.
- Ensure all video products meet applicable technical specifications, accessibility requirements, branding standards, and quality assurance expectations.
- Maintain organized video files, project assets, metadata, and version control throughout the production lifecycle.
- Coordinate revisions and incorporate Government feedback during review and approval cycles.
- Ensure filming activities and final products portray individuals and sensitive subject matter respectfully and in accordance with trauma-informed communication principles.
- Prepare final production files for distribution across digital platforms, including websites, social media, presentations, and other educational channels.
- Support production activities associated with public awareness campaigns, including PTSD Awareness Month and other National Center for PTSD outreach initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, Broadcasting, Multimedia, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing videography and video editing services relevant to the requirements of this task order.
- Demonstrated experience filming and producing professional-quality video products from production through final delivery.
