The Video Editor will produce high-volume, platform-native short-form and long-form video content from raw footage. They are responsible for testing hooks, analyzing performance data, and optimizing workflows using AI tools to drive audience growth and lead generation.
ABOUT THE BUSINESS
We are a growth-focused company helping founders and businesses build stronger revenue engines across messaging, lead generation, sales execution, and revenue technology. Content plays a major role in that strategy, with a constant stream of podcasts, client conversations, speaking engagements, and founder-led video creating opportunities to reach more of the right audience and generate measurable pipeline.
We've teamed up with Handoff to bring on a Video Editor who will turn raw footage into a high volume of platform-native content across YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and X. This role goes far beyond making polished edits. You'll be responsible for testing hooks, creating multiple versions of the same content, publishing natively, analyzing performance, and using data to determine what gets scaled, reworked, or retired.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Short-Form Content Production:
Turn long-form recordings into dozens of short-form assets each week, with multiple hooks, lengths, openings, captions, and creative variations.
Edit specifically for each platform rather than resizing the same asset across channels.
Add captions, hook text, b-roll, stock footage, graphics, and other elements that strengthen retention and clarity.
Maintain a consistent publishing cadence without sacrificing editing quality.
Long-Form Editing:
Edit full podcasts, speaking engagements, interviews, and YouTube content for pacing, clarity, and retention.
Clean audio, remove unnecessary pauses, structure chapters, and create thumbnails and supporting assets.
Ensure long-form content is published quickly and cleanly so it can serve as source material for additional content.
Testing & Performance Optimization:
Treat every clip as an experiment by creating multiple versions and comparing their performance.
Track views, watch time, followers, saves, shares, comments, profile clicks, and booked calls by asset and variation.
Identify which hooks, formats, lengths, and editing approaches perform best on each platform.
Use performance data to recommend which content should receive paid media support and which experiments should be discontinued.
Publishing & Content Ownership:
Own content from raw footage through final publication.
Upload content natively to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X with appropriate titles, descriptions, covers, captions, and hashtags.
Ensure content never sits waiting for someone else to publish it.
Work closely with the Social Media Lead to maintain fast turnaround times and a consistent content pipeline.
AI & Workflow Optimization:
Use tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Descript, CapCut, Photoshop, AI editing platforms, and automation tools to increase production speed.
Build and continuously improve workflows that allow one recording to become a large volume of finished content.
Use AI to accelerate editing, repurposing, concept development, and production without compromising accuracy or quality.
Continuously identify new ways to increase output while maintaining brand consistency and editorial standards.
