Lead the sales and marketing teams to drive profitable growth through strategic planning, demand forecasting, and brand visibility. Oversee commercial operations including pricing strategies, CRM/ERP optimization, and market expansion efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead a business sales and marketing team to drive profitable growth.
- Develop and execute sales plans by segment and geography, integrating with company quality and performance objectives.
- Lead demand planning, forecasting, and SIOP processes to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
- Use KPIs and customer feedback to drive continual improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Support customer complaint resolution and quality improvement initiatives.
- Drive brand and product visibility through digital channels, events, and customer outreach aligned with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with Marketing Shared Service to ensure initiatives are compliant with applicable standards and regulations and that the company’s online presence is maintained and strengthened.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of pricing databases and systems.
- Implement margin-improvement strategies using data analysis, with focus on customer and item profitability.
- Partner with Marketing and IT Shared Services functions to optimize adoption of CRM and implement e-Commerce tools that improve efficiency of customer interactions and quality of customer data.
- Participate in and contribute to strategic planning cycles, including five-year and annual plans.
- Evaluate sales incentive structures and recommend improvements to ensure alignment with overall business growth objectives.
- Lead a culture of accountability and performance through coaching, mentoring, and structured feedback.
- Ensure competency requirements are met through onboarding, training, and development programs.
- Lead customer and market development activities, including product launches and new market entry.
- Serve as company representative at executive-level meetings and customer engagements.
- Recommend and support New Product Development opportunities, M&A targets, market expansion efforts, and intellectual property strategy.
- Oversee CRM, enhancements to ERP (D365), and pricing database implementations related to commercial operations.
Authorities
- Approve sales and marketing strategies, budgets, and expenditures within Company’s Approval Matrix.
- Set pricing strategies and approve major customer pricing agreements within Company’s Approval Matrix.
- Direct recruitment, development, and performance evaluation of sales team.
- Approve participation in trade shows, marketing events, and Public Relations initiatives.
- Authorize customer communication and marketing materials.
Minimum Qualification/Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus on business administration, sales or marketing. MBA a plus.
- 15+ years of progressive sales and marketing experience, with at least 7+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams (U.S., Canada, Mexico, and international markets).
- Strong knowledge of sales metrics, performance analysis, and market development.
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, public relations, and trade show coordination.
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred), e-commerce, CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and pricing analytics.

Minimum Experience Requirements
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, and/or business development roles.
- Minimum 7+ years in a senior leadership position (e.g., Director or VP level), with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.
- Experience with sales of both commodity and engineered products in the transportation industry preferred.
- Knowledge or experience with sales to Federal and/or state governments, Military, and Defense industry preferred.
