  • Drive personal and team business development performance while mentoring and developing commercial capabilities across the practice.
  • Translate market and client needs into differentiated consulting opportunities and sustainable sources of growth.

Delivery Excellence & Team Leadership

  • Build and scale the team's capabilities, capacity, and expertise in alignment with Lumanity's strategic objectives.
  • Provide senior oversight and leadership on complex client engagements, ensuring high-quality, impactful deliverables and exceptional client experiences.
  • Establish and reinforce delivery standards that balance client value, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Develop and execute talent strategies that support succession planning, mentorship, and the development of next-generation clinical strategy and consulting capabilities.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across teams and geographies.

Practice Strategy & Innovation

  • Partner with the SVP & Practice Lead to translate changes in the clinical development landscape into new growth opportunities and areas of competitive differentiation.
  • Develop compelling points of view on emerging issues in clinical development and operations that shape industry thinking and strengthen Lumanity's market position.
  • Evolve consulting methodologies, frameworks, and approaches to address emerging client challenges.

  • Represent Lumanity at industry forums, conferences, and other external events to strengthen the firm's reputation and visibility.
  • Build a strong external network across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and broader life sciences ecosystem.
  • Monitor industry and competitive trends and translate market insights into recommendations for practice strategy, positioning, and service development.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and other external content that establishes Lumanity as an authoritative voice in clinical development strategy.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in clinical development, clinical operations, biopharma, life sciences consulting, or a related field, with significant experience operating at a senior leadership level.
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical development strategy and/or clinical operations, ideally spanning multiple stages of the drug development lifecycle and therapeutic areas.
  • 10+ years of experience in a client-facing consulting, advisory, or professional services environment, with demonstrated responsibility for leading complex engagements and advising senior biopharma stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of business development and revenue generation, including originating opportunities, developing senior client relationships, leading proposals/pursuits, and expanding accounts.
  • Experience with P&L, financial, or commercial accountability, including managing project economics, profitability, and/or revenue targets.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams, including hiring, mentoring, succession planning, and developing organizational capabilities.
