Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer of GE Healthcare, this leadership role leads Global Electronics and High Tech Procurement team of 40+ people across $1 billion in spend and 500+ suppliers.

Job Description
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, mentor a global team of 40+ people that are accountable for leading this global category for GE Healthcare. Embody GE Healthcare Leadership Values with accountability and continue converting the team to be a high performing one.
- Category Management: Lead the formulation of 1-3-5-year strategy for all the sub-categories that fall within scope. Assess, define and build collectively with all the cross functions as well as business segment, category strategies that would be in sync with times that are ahead.
- Strategic SRM: Developing strategic supplier relationships that are consistent with the company’s vision and long-term objectives. Ensuring 3–5-year plans are in place and communicated to internal stakeholders.
- Profitability through Total Cost of Ownership Mindset: Driving product costs down by 5%+ year over year through supplier negotiation and design change ideas, partnering with engineering and manufacturing, with a total cost of ownership mindset.
- Market Understanding & Forecasting: Demonstrating deep understanding of markets for categories managed, including key players, appropriate indices, trends, etc. and have clear articulation of the opportunities and challenges and drive a cross functional conversation to do the needful, with an enterprise mindset. Display courageous leadership in getting all partners together with a Profit Driver Mindset.
- Foundational Performance: A leader that values a holistic performance and has a proven track record on driving best in class Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service through its supplier partners.
- Building Scale & Managing Tail: On all the global categories spend that is managed through Center as well as through business segments, this leader will drive a focus on driving strategic partnerships with the global category as well as segment teams. The Strategic and Leverage Suppliers will be managed through a designed program, and the tail spend and suppliers would need a catered strategy. GE Healthcare Global Procurement believes in becoming customer of choice. This approach should keep this belief at the forefront.
- Risk Management: Drive an utmost sense of urgency on making sure that our patients get the service they deserve and our customers get the products they need. This would also translate into protecting GE Healthcare’s core objectives that are linked through company’s priorities. Design programs with supply chain as well as legal teams that will address Sole & Single Source risk mitigation and partner with cross functional teams in making sure that proper focus and execution is delivered on driving alternate suppliers as well as substitute material, processes and technology. Scope the big enterprise risks and put in business continuity plan for the same.
- Supplier Innovation & Sustainability: Partnering with Strategic and Core Suppliers in driving market changing innovation with a focus on improving patient’s experience as well as meeting customer needs. Be the facilitator to drive dialogue between Supplier cross functional teams and GE Healthcare cross functional teams to drive a Supplier Innovation roadmap for 1-3-5 years. Lead, facilitate and participate in cross-functional teams for design improvements, cost reduction opportunities, value engineering with an eye on innovation. Relentlessly pursue Scope III reductions by partnering with suppliers and lead with a Recycle, Renew, Rework, Refurbish, Repair methodology keeping in mind company’s ESG interests.
- NPI Leadership: Proactively support new program launches as subject matter expert as well as an equal partner who brings necessary functional perspective.
- Enable Regulatory and Compliance Requirements: Work closely with Procurement’s Center of Excellence team and drive supplier compliance with FDA, EHS, transportation and other regulatory and reputational requirements
Qualifications/Requirements
- 15+ years of Sourcing experience, with 7+ leading large global category management teams
- BS/BA from accredited college or university required; MBA preferred. Engineering &/or Business background preferred.
- Deep category and domain knowledge in Electronics, High Tech, EMS, Semi-conductors required.
- Proven leadership ability of Global Categories.
- Proven ability in building world class strategic category management teams.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate at a board level, internal and external c-suite level.
- Ability to manage global, remote and virtual teams.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $224,000.00-$336,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
