VCE English Question Moderator

Education Perfect is an EdTech platform designed to empower educators and amplify their impact in the classroom. We help teachers personalise learning at scale through powerful learning, assessment and insights tools, supporting teachers and students to reach their full potential.

We’re looking for experienced VCE English teachers to support the moderation of student responses for Senior English exam revision content. In this contract based role, you’ll mark sample student responses to exam style questions and provide feedback to help improve the accuracy and quality of AI powered marking.

This is an opportunity to contribute your subject expertise to an education platform used by teachers and students, helping shape high quality digital learning resources that support effective exam preparation and student learning.

This opportunity might suit you if you:

• Have at least 3 years of experience teaching VCE English at Years 11 and 12
• Have experience peer checking educational content and providing constructive feedback
• Have strong attention to detail and can apply marking criteria consistently
• Are tech savvy and enjoy working with technology
• Are interested in contributing to the development of AI powered educational tools

Project details

The project will commence in late November 2026. We anticipate approximately 12 hours of work to complete the sample response marking. The engagement will be contract based, with payment based on deliverables.

The work will involve:

• Student response marking: Use your VCE English expertise to mark approximately 36 sample student essay responses to exam-style questions
• Feedback provision: Provide feedback on student responses based on your marking and subject knowledge
• Moderation for AI marking: Contribute expert marked responses and feedback to support the development and improvement of AI powered marking functionality

Payment

• $60 AUD onboarding payment
• $720 AUD bulk payment for completing the moderation deliverables

The total expected commitment is approximately 12 hours, allowing around 20 minutes per student response.
