Senior Account Manager (Account Growth / Expansion Leader) – Large Mid-Market, Small Enterprise

Location United States (preferred near major enterprise hubs)

Compensation Base Salary: $100,000–$120,000 DOE | Variable: $40,000–$80,000 | OTE: $140,000-$200,000+

Role Overview Our client is seeking a Senior Account Manager (SAM) to drive account expansion within existing large mid-market and enterprise clients. This role focuses on account mining rather than new logo acquisition. The SAM will expand our client's footprint across enterprise clients by:

  • Identifying new buying centers

  • Expanding Databricks-led data initiatives

  • Attaching managed services and recurring revenue

  • Introducing adjacent offerings (AI, Data Governance, DevOps, DataOps)

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Account Expansion

  • Manage top 10–20 strategic accounts

  • Build deep relationships with CIO, CDO, VP Data, and Platform leaders

  • Identify whitespace across business units

2. Revenue Growth Expand accounts through:

  • Databricks platform expansion

  • Data engineering programs

  • AI / Agent solutions

  • Data governance & quality

  • Platform operations / managed services

3. Account Planning Develop structured plans including:

  • Stakeholder maps

  • Expansion roadmap

  • Multi-year revenue targets

  • Cross-business-unit strategy

4. Managed Services Attach Convert implementation work into:

  • Data platform operations

  • Optimization services

  • AI monitoring

  • Platform reliability programs

5. Internal Collaboration Work closely with delivery leaders, our client's Databricks partner teams, and solution architects to turn delivery success into expansion opportunities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 5–8 years in enterprise services sales

  • Experience in mid-size consulting / services firms ($50M–$500M revenue)

  • Proven success expanding existing accounts beyond $1M+

  • Strong experience in Data / Cloud / AI / Analytics services

Preferred Background

  • Databricks

  • Snowflake

  • Cloud data platforms

  • AI / ML services
