Job Description:

Join Job Duck as a Legal Assistant and play a vital role in supporting attorneys through every stage of the legal process. In this position, you will help ensure cases move forward efficiently by preparing legal documents, coordinating court filings, maintaining organized case records, and managing important deadlines. You will serve as a key point of support for attorneys, clients, and external parties while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy. The ideal candidate thrives in a structured environment, communicates effectively, and takes pride in delivering detail-oriented work that contributes to successful case outcomes. • Monthly Compensation Range: from $1,150 to $1,220 USD.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct basic legal research and compile findings to support attorneys during case preparation.
  • Prepare trial and hearing materials, including exhibits, notebooks, summaries, and supporting documentation.
  • Track and monitor case progress to ensure deadlines are met and urgent matters are escalated appropriately.
  • Manage attorney calendars by scheduling court appearances, client meetings, and critical legal deadlines.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information while adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Coordinate document signing and notarization processes for clients and witnesses.
  • Communicate professionally with clients to collect documentation, provide status updates, and address case related inquiries without providing legal advice.
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical case files according to established firm procedures.
  • Perform electronic filing with courts and administrative agencies while ensuring compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
  • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Prior experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or in a legal administrative role

• Familiarity with U.S. based law, legal document preparation, court procedures, and electronic filing systems

• Strong organizational, time management, and priority setting skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and commitment to ethical standards

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks in a fast-paced legal environment
