We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to assist our international clients, primarily based in the US. The ideal candidate must have good English communication skills (both verbal and written) and prior experience in accounting/bookkeeping, preferably with US-based clients.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, bookkeeping, payroll processing and payroll compliance. The role also requires the ability to communicate directly with clients, understand their requirements, answer accounting and payroll-related queries and provide timely and professional responses.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive and capable of managing multiple clients and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.



Requirements

What will you do? 

As an Accountant, you will be assisting international clients primarily based out of the US with their accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and compliance requirements.

• 5 days a week work schedule and evening/night shift aligned with US business hours.

Bookkeeping & Accounting

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording, categorizing and maintaining financial transactions.

• Perform bank, credit card and other account reconciliations and identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable records.

• Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and other financial schedules.

• Provide bookkeeping and accounting support for business tax preparation.

• Work on catch-up and prior-year bookkeeping for clients with incomplete or outdated records.

Payroll & Compliance

• Assist with payroll setup and regular payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

• Collect, review and validate employee time, deductions and other payroll-related information. Coordinate with employees and managers to resolve payroll and timekeeping issues.

• Review payroll data, including hours, salaries, deductions, benefits and reimbursements.

• Handle payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, bonuses and adjustments.

• Apply knowledge of time and labor requirements and applicable overtime rules when reviewing payroll.

• Review payroll reports for accuracy and completeness before submission. Maintain payroll records and ensure employee changes are accurately reflected in the payroll system.

• Prepare and post payroll journal entries and related accounting transactions.

• Review and resolve payroll-related notices received from relevant departments or authorities, escalating complex matters when required.

• Assist with payroll tax filings and compliance requirements, including Forms 941, 940, W-2 and W-3.

• Assist with year-end payroll reporting, reconciliation and related documentation.

• Work on catch-up and prior-year payroll for clients with incomplete or outdated records.

Client Communication & Other Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing accounting, payroll and compliance support to assigned clients.

• Communicate directly with clients through email, phone and other communication channels on a regular basis.

• Understand client requirements and respond to accounting, bookkeeping and payroll-related queries in a clear and professional manner.

• Follow up with clients for required documents, information and clarifications.

• Proactively communicate discrepancies, issues or potential delays to clients and the internal team.

• Escalate complex accounting, tax or compliance matters to the appropriate senior team member when required.

• Maintain confidentiality of client financial, payroll and business information.

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established processes and SOPs.
