The Underwriting Assistant will support the underwriting team by managing workflow, maintaining responsiveness, and meeting production goals. The role involves active development and learning of underwriting guidelines, product offerings, and operating procedures.
This is a full-time position. It is expected that you maintain a consistent and dependable work schedule that supports the operational needs of the underwriting team.
While PTO is unlimited, it must be managed responsibly. Barring illness or unexpected matters, all planned PTO should be requested and cleared at least 1–2 weeks in advance to ensure adequate workflow coverage and team continuity.
This role requires professionalism, reliability, and accountability in meeting deadlines, maintaining responsiveness, and supporting the team’s production goals.
This is an entry-level assistant position with an accelerated advancement track toward a production underwriting role.
You will be expected to:
Underwriting authority will be granted incrementally based on demonstrated proficiency, technical knowledge, and consistency in performance.
The expectation is not passive learning; it is active development.
