What You'll Do as a Telecom Tax & Regulatory Compliance Manager

• Own telecom tax compliance and remittances, partnering with accounting and outside counsel to ensure accurate, timely filings and payments.
• Review historical tax and regulatory filings, identify gaps and risks, and develop a prioritized plan to resolve them.
• Lead the resolution of past-due or unverified filings and remittances, setting deadlines and keeping internal teams and outside counsel accountable.
• Reconcile tax liabilities with the finance team to ensure recorded amounts align with what is owed and paid.
• Manage federal and state telecom requirements, including FCC filings, USF/Form 499, CPNI certifications, E911, STIR/SHAKEN, outage reporting, PUC filings, tariffs, and license and certificate renewals.
• Direct outside regulatory counsel, track deliverables, and work with government agencies on filings and compliance matters.
• Maintain service agreements, terms of service, compliance calendars, and audit-ready records so deadlines, renewals, payments, and documentation stay on track.
• Train sales and operations teams on the compliance requirements that affect their work.

Our Ideal Telecom Tax & Regulatory Compliance Manager

• Experienced: At least 3 years of telecom regulatory or compliance experience, along with required tax and accounting experience.
• Knowledgeable: Understands multi-jurisdiction telecom taxes, including state sales/use tax, 911/E911 fees, USF, and the remediation of past-due telecom tax filings.
• Analytical: Confidently review compliance and financial records, identify discrepancies and risks, and work with finance to reconcile liabilities.
• Ownership-Minded: Take responsibility for complex, multi-party compliance projects and drive them forward until outstanding issues are resolved.
• Clear Communicator: Communicate effectively in writing and work directly with leadership, finance, outside legal counsel, government agencies, and internal teams.
• Trustworthy: Handle sensitive financial, legal, and company information with discretion while supporting RingTele's mission-driven, faith-based culture.
