Procon is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to design, develop, and deliver end-user training for enterprise Kahua implementations supporting federal construction and facilities programs. This remote role will be responsible for translating configured technology and business processes into practical, easy-to-understand training that enables users to confidently adopt the platform.
The Technical Trainer will work closely with implementation leads, application subject-matter experts, and client stakeholders to develop training materials, facilitate virtual and instructor-led sessions, support users through system deployments, and measure training effectiveness.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience delivering adult or software end-user training, or 3+ years of software training experience with a professional training credential such as CPTD, APTD, CPTM, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience training users on enterprise SaaS, ERP, or project management platforms such as Kahua, e-Builder, Procore, Oracle Unifier, Salesforce, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems.
- Strong instructional design skills with experience developing role-based curricula, user guides, job aids, quick-reference materials, and eLearning content.
- Ability to translate technical system functionality and business processes into clear, user-friendly instructions for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to effectively lead both virtual and instructor-led training sessions.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and virtual training/collaboration tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable federal suitability determination.
- Preferred: Hands-on Kahua experience, including Kahua certifications or coursework.
- Preferred: Experience supporting federal construction or facilities programs and familiarity with RFIs, submittals, daily reports, change management, cost controls, document management, and project closeout.
- Preferred: Experience with eLearning/LMS platforms such as Articulate, Camtasia, or TalentLMS.
- Preferred: PMP, CAPM, Prosci, or related certification and familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and develop role-based training curricula for Kahua applications, including Document Management, Cost Management, Project Management, Field applications, and client-specific configurations.
- Create and maintain training materials such as instructor guides, participant guides, quick-reference guides, job aids, eLearning modules, and other user-support resources.
- Customize training content to reflect client-specific workflows, terminology, configurations, and business processes.
- Deliver engaging virtual and instructor-led training to audiences ranging from field personnel and project teams to program leadership and executives.
- Prepare training environments, sample projects, records, tasks, and scenarios that reflect realistic user workflows.
- Facilitate train-the-trainer and super-user programs to help client organizations establish sustainable internal training capabilities.
- Provide post-go-live user support through office hours, refresher training, targeted coaching, and other adoption activities.
- Track attendance, evaluations, training completion, LMS records, user readiness, and adoption metrics.
- Evaluate training effectiveness, identify knowledge gaps and recurring user issues, and continuously improve training materials and delivery methods.
- Participate in discovery, configuration, and deployment planning sessions to identify training requirements and impacts early in the implementation lifecycle.
- Collaborate with implementation, application, data migration, change management, and help desk teams to ensure training activities align with deployment and go-live schedules.
- Maintain an organized, version-controlled training library in accordance with program quality and documentation requirements.
