Technical Sales Specialist

We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) for our Fiery field sales team currently residing in Chicago or Central Illinois area to assist with the pre-sales activity related to the OEM Partner/Reseller Channel. The TSS works closely with the assigned Sales Development Managers to achieve the revenue plan.  This territory will support activity both remote and in person in the following states; ND / SD / NE / KS / MO / IL / IA / WI / MN / MI / IN / KY / OH / WV.

• Learn all current and future Fiery products and technologies to offer accurate and professional pre-sales support. Understand products from other print manufacturers that could be seen to enhance or compete with our own products.  On the Job training provided but experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel and flexibility to be team member supporting other regions of US and Canada if needed for support.  
• Communicate and work closely with the Fiery Sales team, dealers and partners on technical customer requirements.
• Partner with Fiery Sales Development Managers to drive selling activities.
• Leverage Fiery resources and capabilities to assist in closing business.
• Execute sales, marketing and support strategies / models to achieve sales target.
• Provide training, education, and support at customer/partner/dealer events and be an extension to the Fiery field sales team.
• Provide tech notes on new developments, application problems, etc. and provide regular communications and/or technical updates to enhance the knowledge of our partners.
• Support assigned Partner/Reseller channel territory activities – seminars, trade shows, exhibits, demos and partner trainings.
• Effectively present and demonstrate all Fiery products to a variety of audiences, highlighting Fiery features, use and customer value.
• Perform technical troubleshooting to ensure the successful close of business by the Partner/Reseller channel.
• Establish and maintain close and professional contact with Partner/Reseller Channel partners in your territory.
• Provide timely and accurate reporting of activity and issues.
• Log and assist with the resolution of product issues through support and engineering.

Job Requirements:

• Networking/technical degree with 2+ years of related experience.  Strong understanding of current OS and network security.
• Detailed knowledge of operating systems: Windows 11, Windows 10 LTSC; Mac OS and basic associated networking environments for printing and file sharing.
• Knowledge of Adobe CS desktop publishing, graphics, and office application software. Adobe Acrobat platform tools for preflight and PDF print workflow.
• Knowledge of color management, output profiling, spot colors, and ICC technology.  Understanding of applications in digital color printing a plus.
• Superior presentation skills. Ability to build and customize PowerPoint presentations and speak to large groups.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels and experiences in training activities.
• Ability to work independently and proficiently demonstrate all of the above in a pre-sales situation.
