Technical Recruiter, India

Position Overview

We're looking for a Technical Recruiter to build out our presence in India, owning full-cycle recruiting for technical and engineering roles based there. You'll be part of our recruiting team based in California, while working independently to drive hiring needs in India. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to build a hiring function in-region from the ground up. 

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for technical, engineering, and hardware/robotics roles based in India, from sourcing through offer close
• Partner with India-based and global hiring managers to define role scope, calibrate on candidate bar, and build effective sourcing strategy
• Build and manage strong candidate pipelines through direct sourcing, referrals, and market mapping specific to the Indian tech and robotics talent landscape
• Drive an excellent candidate experience end-to-end, including timely communication and structured interview coordination across time zones
• Maintain accurate pipeline data and reporting in Greenhouse (ATS)
• Partner with the San Mateo talent team on compensation benchmarking, offer structuring, and closing strategy for India-based hires
• Provide market intelligence on Indian tech/robotics hiring trends, compensation norms, and competitor talent moves

Preferred Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a strong track record of closing technical talent
• A technical background or demonstrated fluency recruiting for engineering, robotics, hardware, or deep tech roles
• Experience recruiting in the Indian tech ecosystem, with an existing network of engineering/robotics talent
• Comfort working independently and asynchronously as part of a distributed, US-managed team
• Strong command of Greenhouse or comparable ATS platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Background in HR or People Operations
