Technical Lead

We are seeking a Technical Lead – Software Development to join the Consultec team. You are an experienced software engineer and technical leader passionate about designing scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise applications. You combine strong hands-on development expertise with the ability to guide engineering teams, define technical standards, make architectural decisions, and translate complex business requirements into effective technology solutions.

This is a remote position.

Advanced English proficiency (C1 level) is mandatory, as the role requires frequent communication, technical discussions, and collaboration with international teams and clients.

You will:

• Lead the technical design and development of enterprise applications using .NET, Java Spring Boot, React, and Next.js.

• Define software architecture, development standards, design patterns, and technical best practices across projects.

• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services, APIs, and frontend applications.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to backend and frontend developers.

• Participate actively in software development while balancing hands-on coding with technical leadership responsibilities.

• Lead code reviews and ensure code quality, maintainability, security, and adherence to engineering standards.

• Design and oversee REST and gRPC APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration solutions.

• Guide the implementation of scalable frontend architectures using React, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

• Define technical approaches for authentication, authorization, application security, and integration with enterprise systems.

• Make architectural decisions related to databases, cloud infrastructure, containerization, scalability, and application performance.

• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, UX/UI, architecture teams, and business stakeholders.

• Analyze technical requirements, identify risks, estimate development efforts, and support technical planning and execution.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across development, testing, and production environments.

• Promote automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and modern software engineering practices.

• Continuously identify opportunities to improve architecture, development processes, team productivity, and application performance.

• Act as a technical reference point for the development team and support communication with clients and technical stakeholders.

Ideally, you'd have:

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including experience leading or mentoring development teams.

• Strong hands-on experience with .NET / C# and Java Spring Boot.

• Strong experience with React, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

• Solid knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID principles, and Clean Architecture.

• Experience designing and developing REST APIs, gRPC services, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and system integration patterns.

• Experience with relational and non-relational technologies such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar.

• Experience with ORM technologies such as Entity Framework and Hibernate/JPA.

• Knowledge of authentication and authorization standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Git workflows, and modern software delivery practices.

• Experience implementing security, scalability, performance, monitoring, and observability best practices.

• Experience working with enterprise applications and/or multi-tenant SaaS environments.

• Ability to perform technical analysis, architecture definition, code reviews, and technical estimations.

• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to lead multidisciplinary development teams while remaining technically hands-on.

• Experience working with distributed and global teams.
