You will own the financial integrity and sustainable growth of client accounts while nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, you will manage account operations, including reporting, process documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams.
This is a remote position.
Experience Level
This role is ideal for professionals with a technical/engineering background who have transitioned into account management, client-facing, or pre-sales roles. We're looking for someone who can operate with minimal oversight, thrives in ownership-driven environments, and is equally comfortable in a room with engineers as in a room with clients evaluating a partnership.
Outcomes You'll Own
Financial integrity of the account — you're the one source of truth on the money: runway, margin, invoicing, forecast accuracy
Nurture client relationships — create strong supporters across levels of leadership
Sustainable growth — expansion and new opportunities within the account, spotted early and converted
Account stability under stress — risks caught early, escalations contained, trust preserved when things go wrong
Scalable operations — account knowledge and process that outlive any one person's memory
Activities That Drive These Outcomes(illustrative, not exhaustive)
Maintain a written account plan per client: stakeholder map, org context, quarterly goals, whitespace
Regular 1:1s with pod leads to surface signals early
Run the operating rhythm: monthly readouts, QBRs, retro follow-through
Annual, written reference-ability check with the economic buyer
Monthly stakeholder map review; treat leadership changes as trip-wire events
Partner with People Success/recruiting on staffing changes and ramps
Handle client paperwork, security questionnaires, vendor onboarding, due diligence
Convert playbook-worthy repeated work into documented process; automate where possible
Keep CRM/ERP and account records current, down to client-specific details
Feed learnings back to sales/marketing, references, case studies, patterns
Requirements
What You'll Bring
Enough technical depth to hold your own with a CTO on Tech debt, TDD, DORA metrics, Clean Agile
Writing that earns attention, turning messy conversations into eight lines an executive will read
The instinct to drill down past "it's going fine"
A habit of arguing with data points, not adjectives
A track record of taking things to closure
Comfort operating where boundaries are blurred and nothing's been written down yet
What We Value
Extreme ownership – you take responsibility for outcomes and drive work end-to-end
Ability to execute independently and define problems, not just solve assigned tasks
A strong product mindset – willingness to talk to customers, understand problems deeply, and define direction when needed
The ability to build trust and sell value, not just deliver output
High standards, autonomy, and a bias toward action.
