About the role

As a Tax Preparer, you are the critical "human-in-the-loop" who takes our AI-driven tax drafts across the finish line. While our automation engine starts the process, you are responsible for the technical completion of complex returns for individuals, multi-entity businesses, and partnerships. You will utilize advanced AI self-review tools to verify accuracy before passing files to our Tax AI Lead, ensuring a high-velocity, high-precision workflow

What you will do

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, S-corps, C-Corps, Partnerships and Trusts
• Conduct tax research and planning to minimize tax liabilities and identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.
• Consult with clients on bookkeeping as needed.
• Utilize internal AI-powered diagnostic and review tools to perform a mandatory first-pass quality check before routing to the Tax AI Lead.
• Review financial records, income statements, and documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Calculate and generate estimated tax (ES) vouchers to ensure ongoing client compliance.
• Review and organize client documentation within our tech stack to ensure data integrity and reconcile any discrepancies in the source financials.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience preparing individual and business tax returns
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Familiarity with professional tax software (CCH Axcess )
• Strong Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks Online
• CPA license or EA certification a plus but not required
