Overview
The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a strategic partner to hiring managers and HR Business Partners, proactively identifying and delivering talent solutions aligned with workforce needs. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process across assigned business units, with a strong emphasis on innovative sourcing strategies and proactive pipeline development.
This individual will leverage both tactical execution and strategic insight to recruit diverse, high-quality talent while continuously improving hiring outcomes. The role requires the ability to manage a high volume of requisitions—including complex and hard-to-fill roles—while maintaining an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Talent Partnership
- Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand current and future hiring needs
- Anticipate workforce trends and develop proactive recruiting strategies to address talent gaps
- Serve as a trusted advisor on talent market insights, candidate availability, and hiring best practices
Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for all assigned positions, from intake through offer
- Execute and facilitate screening, interviewing, and selection processes
- Ensure a consistent, efficient, and high-quality hiring experience for candidates and stakeholders
Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Identify and leverage new and diverse sourcing channels to attract top talent
- Engage in both tactical and strategic sourcing to build robust talent pipelines
- Proactively source passive candidates and cultivate relationships for current and future opportunities
Recruitment Strategy & Process Improvement
- Support workforce planning by participating in forecasting and recruitment planning efforts
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned with business priorities
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance recruitment processes and improve outcomes
Project Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Lead or contribute to talent acquisition projects and initiatives
- Effectively manage a high volume of requisitions across varied job types and levels of complexity
- Maintain strong organization and follow-through in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree (Strongly Preferred)
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, OR
- 4 years of recruiting experience with a High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- 5+ years of recruiting experience required for consideration as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Work Environment & Travel
- This is a remote position with regular travel required across Virginia and North Carolina
- Residency within 50 miles of Virginia Beach, VA is strongly preferred
