About the Position
NEI Electric Power is a Power Systems Engineering Consulting firm supporting clients across multiple industries since 1982. Based out of Lakewood, Colorado, NEI is looking for a Technical Recruiter to join the team full-time to support NEI’s growth across multiple departments.
The Technical Recruiter will play a key role in helping NEI continue to foster an award-winning company culture (voted Top 100 Places to Work in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) by managing and optimizing NEI’s full cycle recruiting process; attracting and hiring high-performing individuals that support growth areas across NEI.
The Technical Recruiter will work in tandem with their supervisor to optimize and implement and recruiting best practices and manage candidates through NEI’s Applicant Tracking System. Throughout the full cycle recruiting process, this individual will be the main point of contact for candidates engaged in the hiring process.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $105,000 / year
The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.
This opportunity is available to both local / in-office (Lakewood, CO) and full-time remote candidates.
Essential Responsibilities
Generates and maintains a pipeline of qualified, diverse candidates through multiple channels including cold calling, networking, research, data mining, and the use of other available resources
Owns and optimizes the full recruitment process including candidate screenings, interview, feedback, and the offer process
Serves as a brand ambassador for NEI through candidate interactions and external communications
Prioritizes and champions the candidates, ensuring every candidate interaction is an exceptional experience
Sells the NEI culture and benefits to engage and recruit top talent to the organization
Builds a diverse pipeline of technical candidates using creative sourcing channels
Utilizes recruiting metrics to understand recruiting effectiveness and improve processes
Manages interview scheduling and coordination (across multiple time zones) between candidates and our hiring teams, including onsite interviews, video interviews and interview debrief meetings in a timely manner
Communicates interview details to candidates, ensuring that they have all the necessary information for a successful interview experience
Collaborates with hiring managers to understand specific position requirements, job responsibilities, and how they relate to business goals
Makes travel arrangements for candidates as necessary, as well as processes any candidate travel-related reimbursements
Assists in organizing internal and external events such as on-campus recruiting to attract top talent
Updates and maintains accurate candidate records in our applicant tracking system
Supports hiring managers with job postings, requisition management, and compliance
Assists with a variety of administrative tasks to support NEI’s recruitment strategy
Works in tandem with their supervisor to design, develop, and execute sourcing strategies to identify the top talent nationally
Creates, updates, and tracks changes to job descriptions (e.g., add tasks or modify requirements)
Provides regular and transparent feedback throughout interview process for candidates
Maintains and manages a list of open positions ranked by priority and regularly works with Marketing to update list of open positions across various channels
Initiates contact and develops relationships with potential leads and candidates
Conducts initial phone screen of potential candidates to evaluate and assess their interest level, qualifications, geographic preference, salary range, etc.
Recommends qualified candidates to hiring managers
Reports to hiring managers and People Services on the status of open positions
Interviews, extends offers, negotiates and assists with the onboarding of candidates
Maintains and shares knowledge of recruiting trends and best practices
Complies with federal, state, and local employment law and regulations
Maintains strict confidentiality

Must Have
Education: Bachelor's degree in a human resources or business-related field is preferred but is not required
Experience: Minimum of 2 years sourcing or recruiting experience is required
Previous experience recruiting or sourcing for technical positions, particularly in the field of engineering, is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communications with all levels of team members inside and outside of the organization
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
Possesses effective written and oral communications skills
Good interpersonal and people skills
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Nice to Have
Proficient with Boolean search strings across multiple sourcing channels
Familiarity with HRIS systems; experience with Paycom is a plus
