Job Description

 

The Transition and Transformation Program Manager will lead complex, multi-tower programs across cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, workplace, network, data center, and managed services portfolios. The role is accountable for transition strategy, governance, execution control, stakeholder alignment, operational readiness, and a smooth handover into steady-state operations.

The role also requires proven experience in merger and acquisition driven technology transitions, including integration planning, Day-1 readiness, TSA governance, divestiture support, carve-out planning, and risk management across acquiring and acquired organizations.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead end-to-end transition and transformation programs across multiple service towers, geographies, and customer environments.
• Own transition strategy, mobilization approach, governance model, delivery framework, success criteria, KPIs, and milestone tracking.
• Participate in RFPs, solution shaping, transition estimation, planning assumptions, and customer transition discussions.
• Drive program execution across transition managers, tower leads, solution teams, delivery teams, customer stakeholders, vendors, and partner teams.
• Lead merger, acquisition, divestiture, carve-out, and separation transition planning, including integration roadmap, Day-1 readiness, TSA exit plan, risk closure, and controlled handover.

Core Delivery Areas

• Transition Governance: Establish steering forums, stage-gate reviews, reporting cadence, escalation paths, RAID controls, and executive decision points.
• Cloud and Infrastructure Transition: Oversee cloud migration, hybrid infrastructure, data center services, workplace, network, and managed services transition scope.
• Cybersecurity Transition: Govern security operations, identity and access, compliance, GRC, SOC readiness, vulnerability management, and security control transition.
• M&A Technology Integration: Manage infrastructure and security integration, Day-1 readiness, TSA obligations, service separation, vendor dependencies, licensing impacts, and business acceptance.
• Commercial and Financial Control: Track transition budgets, effort estimates, assumptions, dependencies, cost risks, commercial obligations, and value realization.
• Operational Readiness and Hypercare: Ensure KT completion, runbook readiness, service acceptance, stabilization, SLA readiness, and handover to steady-state delivery.

 

Qualifications and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Management.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
• PMP, PgMP, MSP, PRINCE2, or equivalent program management certification preferred.
• ITIL certification required; ITIL Managing Professional or equivalent is preferred.
• Cloud certification in Azure, AWS, or GCP is desirable.

Experience Required

• 15+ years of IT industry experience, with at least 10+ years in transition, transformation, or complex program management roles.
• Strong experience leading global cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, network, workplace, data center, and managed services transitions.
• Proven background in large, multi-million-dollar programs involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, delivery teams, and executive sponsors.
• Experience in outsourcing, managed services, digital transformation, and service integration engagements.
• Hands-on exposure to M&A technology integration, divestiture, carve-out, TSA exit, or post-acquisition infrastructure and security transition programs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage geographically distributed teams and work across diverse customer and delivery environments.

Technical and Functional Skills

• Enterprise transition governance, program management, portfolio assurance, RAID management, and executive reporting.
• Cloud platforms and hybrid environments across Azure, AWS, GCP, private cloud, and multi-cloud architectures.
• Infrastructure modernization, workplace transformation, network operations, data center transition, and managed services onboarding.
• Cybersecurity transition planning covering SOC, IAM, GRC, Zero Trust, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and security operations.
• M&A transition management, TSA governance, service separation, integration planning, vendor transition, licensing impact analysis, and Day-1 readiness.
• Commercial governance, business case tracking, financial forecasting, value realization, dependency management, and contract-aligned delivery control.

• Exposure to tools such as ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Power BI, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience working with legal, procurement, finance, HR, security, and compliance teams during M&A-led technology transitions.
