We are a rapidly growing U.S.-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering secure, cloud-first IT solutions and exceptional client service. We support businesses through proactive IT management, cybersecurity, infrastructure support, endpoint management, and innovative automation solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator with hands-on Tanium experience to join our technical team and support U.S.-based clients in a fast-paced MSP environment.

Job Summary

The Remote Systems Administrator – Tanium & Endpoint Management will be responsible for managing, monitoring, securing, and troubleshooting client and internal IT environments. This role will serve as a technical escalation point for complex systems, endpoint, infrastructure, and security issues.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of Systems Administration experience, preferably within an MSP environment, with hands-on experience using Tanium for endpoint management, monitoring, patching, security, and remediation.

This role may involve direct communication with U.S.-based clients. The successful candidate must have strong English communication skills and be comfortable working within a U.S. client/service timezone as part of a 24/7 service model.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Administration

  • Manage, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows-based systems, servers, workstations, and client environments.
  • Perform system configuration, patching, updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot complex L2/L3 infrastructure and systems issues.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and overall health.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and system configurations.

Tanium & Endpoint Management

  • Use Tanium to manage, monitor, and maintain endpoints across client environments.
  • Perform endpoint discovery, monitoring, configuration assessment, and troubleshooting.
  • Support software deployment, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and endpoint compliance.
  • Develop and execute Tanium queries, actions, packages, and remediation workflows.
  • Investigate endpoint issues and security events using Tanium and related tools.

Security & IT Operations

  • Monitor and maintain endpoint security and enterprise security platforms.
  • Support vulnerability identification, remediation, and security hardening.
  • Assist with security incidents, endpoint investigations, and technical remediation.
  • Work with EDR, SIEM, ITDR, DNS filtering, application whitelisting, and other security technologies.
  • Maintain a strong security posture across client and internal systems.

MSP Tools & Automation

  • Work with RMM and PSA platforms to monitor and manage client environments.
  • Develop and optimize automation workflows to improve operational efficiency.
  • Use PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages to automate repetitive technical tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery through automation and emerging technologies.
  • Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

Client-Facing Support

  • Communicate directly with clients when technical issues require escalation or specialized support.
  • Explain technical issues and recommended solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in technical meetings and client discussions as needed.
  • Provide professional, timely, and customer-focused support.

Technical Escalation & Team Support

  • Serve as a technical escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 support teams.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues that cannot be resolved at lower support levels.
  • Mentor junior technical team members and share technical knowledge.
  • Assist with developing technical procedures and best practices.

24/7 Service Support

  • Work primarily within the assigned client/service timezone.
  • Participate in scheduled after-hours, overnight, on-call, or rotating support as required.
  • Respond to critical incidents according to established escalation procedures.
  • Support the organization's goal of providing reliable 24/7 IT services to clients.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on Systems Administration experience.
  • Hands-on Tanium experience is required.
  • Previous experience working in an MSP or managed IT services environment.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server and desktop environments.
  • Experience with endpoint management, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience handling L2/L3 technical escalations.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security and vulnerability remediation.
  • Experience with RMM, PSA, EDR, or related IT management platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Comfortable communicating directly with U.S.-based clients.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Willingness to work within the assigned client/service timezone.
  • Flexibility to participate in a 24/7 support schedule when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Tanium administration experience.
  • Tanium certification or formal Tanium training.
  • Experience managing Tanium in multi-client or enterprise environments.
  • PowerShell, Python, or other scripting experience.
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure experience.
  • Experience with cybersecurity operations or threat analysis.
  • Experience with EDR, SIEM, ITDR, or vulnerability management platforms.
  • CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, Tanium, or other relevant certifications.
  • ITIL certification or experience with IT service management frameworks.
  • Experience with automation, RPA, AI-based tools, or workflow automation.
