Role Overview:

The UAT Supervisor provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and subject matter expertise for the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) team responsible for validating complex Facets configuration changes across all lines of business. This role ensures the accuracy, stability, and compliance of system modifications that directly impact claims payment integrity, benefits administration, provider reimbursement, pricing methodologies, enrollment processing, and new business implementations.

The Supervisor ensures organizational readiness for system changes by directing end-to-end testing processes, coordinating cross-functional collaboration, mitigating operational and financial risks, and upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position requires strong leadership capability, deep knowledge of health plan operations, and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple departments.

Work Arrangement:

  • This is a 100% Remote position within the United States, but we prefer you live in EST or CST time zones 
     

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management: 

  • Provides daily leadership, coaching, direction, and performance management for UAT 1 Analysts
  • Builds a culture of accountability, excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement 
  • Conducts performance evaluations, sets individual goals, and drives career development initiatives 
  • Oversees onboarding, ongoing training, and skill development for new and existing team members 
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organizational standards and adhering to legal and regulatory requirements alongside the Manager 
  • Ensures the team is equipped with the tools, knowledge, and support required to perform complex testing responsibilities


 Strategic Oversight of UAT Operations:

  • Leads planning, execution, and governance of all UAT activities, ensuring system changes are validated comprehensively and delivered on schedule
  • Develops / Implements innovative ways to enhance the testing process as well as maintains testing methodologies, frameworks, and standardized processes that support consistency, quality, and audit readiness
  • Oversees functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across claims, benefits, provider, pricing, enrollment, and new business modules
  • Determines testing scope, depth, and prioritization based on business risk, regulatory impact, and system complexity. Identifies testing readiness gaps, escalates risks, and resolves cross-functional blockers to support project and release success alongside the manager
  • Accomplishes department objectives by supervising UAT Testing staff, monitoring work performance to ensure maximum testing productivity, evaluating staff in performance of assigned testing duties, ensuring effective/efficient and accurate job performance by reviewing test cases for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintains staff by assisting the manager with recruiting, orienting, training employees, and developing personal growth opportunities. Oversees progress towards goals alongside the manager
  • Implements and enforces systems, policies, and procedures specific to Configuration testing. Motivate their team members to do great work by resolving issues and making sound decisions, clearly and consistently communicating expectations, and uniting them with a shared sense of purpose to achieve the vision 
  • Serve as a conduit of communication between employees and senior managers
  • Assists in managing/leading large-scale projects to ensure deadlines are met, including attending meetings as needed to address testing concerns
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards and adhering to legal regulations alongside the manager
     

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Technology preferred, or equivalent experience in a business/technical environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of Supervisory or Management/Leadership experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Facets Claims processing experience and utilizing Microsoft Access for analysis
  • Minimum of 5 years Claim test pro experience preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working with Medicaid Managed care, Medicare Managed Care, and Exchange/Commercial in a Facets Business Analyst position, Facets Configuration, Facets Configuration Testing, or related business area
     

Skills:

  • Encoder pro knowledge
  • Proven progressive attitude toward skills improvement, independent thinking, and advanced technology
  • This position is required to work a minimum of five (5) or more projects consecutively, depending on the size
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms
  • Demonstrates understanding and follows corporate compliance of security and confidentiality of data and information
  • Uses data and information to assist in decision-making
  • Must be proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office programs, with a focus on the ability to create and run Access queries
  • Adheres to all policies and practices regarding confidentiality of all electronic communications, including, but not limited to, e-mail, telephone, voice mail, fax, and Internet usage
  • Must be an excellent service provider with a true commitment to providing the highest quality testing configuration solutions on a customer- focused team
  • Must be able to function autonomously and as part of a team
