Role Overview
We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert – Economics who can guide school students in developing a strong understanding of Economics while mentoring them in research, academic writing and publication processes. The primary responsibility will be to guide students in Economics research, academic writing and publication, while also conducting classes, workshops and mentoring sessions for students in Grades 6–12. The candidate should be able to simplify complex Economics concepts, guide students through research projects and help them develop strong academic profiles.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Economics Research & Publication
  • Guide students in selecting Economics research topics and developing research questions.
  • Mentor students on research methodology, literature review, data analysis and academic writing.
  • Support students in preparing research papers, abstracts and reports.
  • Guide students on journals, publication processes, citations and research standards.
  • Review student work and provide constructive feedback.
2. Classes & Student Mentoring
  • Conduct Economics classes, workshops and interactive sessions for Grades 6–12.
  • Explain concepts through practical examples and real-world applications.
  • Encourage analytical and critical thinking.
  • Guide students in developing Economics projects and research work.
3. Academic Profile Building
  • Help students build meaningful Economics projects and research portfolios.
  • Guide students in presenting their academic work for future university applications.
  • Support students in developing strong academic narratives around their research interests.
4. Program Development
  • Contribute to Economics curriculum, research projects and learning activities.
  • Develop case studies, assignments and research-based activities.
  • Work with internal teams to improve programme quality and student outcomes.



Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Applied Economics,
  • Econometrics, Development Economics or a related Economics discipline.
  • PhD / PhD Scholar in Economics will be preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Economics and research methodology.
  • Research or publication experience/knowledge is essential.
  • Candidates with published papers, dissertations, working papers or research projects will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of academic journals, publication standards and referencing.
  • Prior teaching, mentoring or workshop experience with school/college students is preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex Economics concepts for school students.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in leading research or innovation projects with school students
  • Understanding of student profile building for global opportunities (US/UK
  • admissions, etc.)
  • Exposure to interdisciplinary or applied research areas
