Job Summary
Provides strategic communications, content development, and presentation support for the Strategic Growth and Partnerships (SGP) team, and the other SRM teams, as needed. Develop briefs, presentations, talking points, and related materials for internal and external audiences by translating data, market insights, and organizational information into clear, compelling, audience-appropriate products. The role reports to the Strategic Initiatives (SI) Associate Director. As a member of the Strategic Initiatives team, coordinates closely with Impact and Foundational Area, Account Development, and Analytics teams in SRM and the Global Communications Department to help package content for different audiences.
Accountabilities:
Uses background research and existing analysis to develop communication products that support Strategy and Resource Mobilization needs.
Supports production of products and materials outlined in resource mobilization plans and aligned to technical priorities and identified priority funders.
Prepares presentations, briefing materials, capability statements, talking points, summaries, and other written products for internal and external audiences; Customizes these materials for any audience specific content such as to align with their stated technical or geographic priorities
Synthesizes qualitative and quantitative inputs from multiple sources into clear, concise, audience-appropriate messaging, materials, and presentations that highlight key takeaways and considerations.
Supports the development, editing, formatting, and production of executive-ready materials for leadership forums, Board- and executive-level discussions, and selected external engagements.
Coordinates with the Impact Office Communications Department to align presentations and external-facing materials with organizational messaging, style, and review processes.
Draws from the SRM Strategic Initiatives and Analytics teams’ inputs and products to prepare issue briefs, audience-ready summaries of insights, presentation content, and other communication products.
Maintains organized source materials, draft content, and supporting documentation for assigned presentations and communication products.
Supports assigned Strategic Initiatives team activities by preparing materials, conducting follow-up research, and assisting with discrete project tasks, as directed.
May coordinate inputs and timelines for assigned deliverables to ensure materials are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Applied Knowledge & Skills:
Strong knowledge of communications support, content development, and the interpretation of data and organizational information for different audiences.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to develop clear, compelling presentations, briefs, and talking points for internal and external audiences.
Strong ability to translate complex information into concise storylines, visuals, summaries, and audience-appropriate materials.
Strong organizational, planning, and project support skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments.
Good judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret and apply information and data from multiple sources and frame findings appropriately for different audiences.
Ability to collaborate effectively with Strategic Initiatives, Analytics, Communications, and other partner teams.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in a relevant field such as communications, data science, market research, business, international relations, or related discipline.
Experience:
Typically requires 5-8 years of relevant experience in communications, content development, presentation development, business development support, partnerships support, or a related role.
Demonstrated experience producing high-quality presentations, briefing materials, talking points, and other narrative products for leadership or external audiences.
Demonstrated experience using qualitative and quantitative information, conducting desk research and translating findings into clear written products, presentations, and audience-appropriate materials.
Demonstrated experience supporting complex projects or cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
Demonstrated understanding of international and domestic funders, partners, and market dynamics across multiple sectors preferred.
Prior experience working with a non-governmental organization (NGO) preferred.
The expected US Based hiring salary range for this role is listed below. FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget. For internal candidates, salary placement will also follow FHI 360’s current promotional increase guidelines. Final compensation will be determined in accordance with applicable law and FHI 360 policy.
Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 7% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.
US Based Hiring Salary Range: USD $85,000 - $100,000
International hiring ranges will differ based on location.
