JoVE is looking for an Staff Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing. This position will give you the opportunity to grow your career in accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and daily transactions
- Update and maintain the accounting database. Check postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes
- Issue invoices to customers as required
- Perform bookkeeping services
- Conduct bank reconciliations
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field of study
- Bookkeeping, AR and/or AP experience is a must
- Hands-on experience working with MS Excel & accounting software like QuickBooks
- Highly organized and strong attention to detail
- Strong follow through skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
