Job Summary

Acrisure is seeking a Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster to independently manage complex Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims from assignment through resolution. This role is responsible for investigating claims, determining compensability, evaluating exposure, managing reserves and litigation, and developing claim resolution strategies in accordance with Pennsylvania workers' compensation laws and regulations.


Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience handling Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims. Delaware experience is highly valued, with New Jersey experience also helpful. This is a fully remote position.


Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a caseload of Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims from assignment through resolution
  • Investigate claims, determine compensability, and develop appropriate claim handling strategies
  • Review medical documentation, coverage, and claim exposure in accordance with Pennsylvania regulations
  • Establish and maintain appropriate reserves based on claim developments
  • Manage complex indemnity and litigated claims, including settlement negotiations
  • Coordinate with defense counsel, medical providers, employers, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor claim activity, maintain accurate diaries, and ensure timely follow-up
  • Coordinate return-to-work efforts and identify opportunities for cost containment, subrogation, or fraud investigation
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation within the claims management system
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience handling Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims required
  • Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania workers' compensation laws, regulations, and claims handling practices required
  • Experience managing complex indemnity claims required
  • Experience developing claim resolution strategies and negotiating settlements required
  • Delaware workers' compensation claims experience highly valued
  • Experience handling litigated workers' compensation claims strongly preferred
  • New Jersey workers' compensation claims experience considered an asset
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple complex claims in a remote environment
  • Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications

Education and licenses

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Additional workers' compensation education, claims training, or industry certifications helpful

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
