What You'll Be Doing:

Evolent is building a new AI platform from the ground up. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Initiatives, the Senior Project Manager will lead the day-to-day execution and coordination of platform delivery initiatives. This role turns platform strategy into disciplined execution by building and maintaining integrated plans, coordinating cross-functional workstreams, managing risks and dependencies, and helping ensure platform capabilities and migrations are delivered successfully. The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on project leader who thrives in ambiguity, communicates effectively across technical and business audiences, and drives complex initiatives from planning through implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day execution of AI platform initiatives, managing project plans, deliverables, dependencies, decisions, and stakeholder communications across multiple workstreams.
• Partner across architecture, engineering, product, data science, operations, and business teams to manage dependencies, accelerate decision-making, and ensure platform capabilities deliver scalable operational outcomes, measurable business value, and sustainable adoption.
• Lead platform onboarding, implementation, and migration efforts, including readiness planning, testing coordination, validation activities, and deployment support.
• Define and track delivery performance, adoption metrics, risks, and key success indicators; provide leadership reporting and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions, escalating concerns and recommending mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track.
• Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, planning sessions, and working groups; drive accountability for action items, decisions, and commitments.
• ·Collaborate with legal, compliance, and the business to ensure projects adhere to established governance, security, privacy, compliance, responsible AI, and organizational requirements.
• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous process improvement.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 5-7+ years of project management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with technical and business teams to deliver technology-enabled solutions.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, waterfall, or hybrid), including planning, risk and issue management, and status reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation and present status, risks, and recommendations to both operational and technical audiences.
• Experience defining and tracking KPIs to monitor delivery progress, adoption, and business outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, Agile, SAFe, or equivalent).
• Experience supporting platform modernization, application migration, cloud-native technology, AI/ML, automation, or intelligent workflow initiatives.
• Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and prior authorization workflows.
• Healthcare, payer, provider, utilization management, or regulated industry experience preferred.

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $110000. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
