Sr. Manager of Scientific Engagement

Job Details: Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $145000.00 - $160000.00, Job Category: Life Sciences, This position will support the coordinated development and execution of oncology-focused strategic programs, including the Integra Oncology Council, by serving as the central point of coordination between internal teams and external key opinion leaders (KOLs), faculty, and scientific experts. This role blends program/project management (workplans, timelines, tracking tools) with KOL relationship management (scientific credibility, responsive communication, trusted engagement), partnering closely with IntegraConnect Analytics, Publications, and scientific advisory and insights initiatives. The ideal candidate brings oncology fluency, strong project execution skills, and comfort operating across sales, scientific, analytical, and client-facing stakeholders in a fast-paced, remote environment.   Responsibilities: Program and Project Coordination Partner with scientific content, analytics, publications, operations, commercial, sales, and client-facing teams to coordinate inputs, dependencies, handoffs, and execution across concurrent initiatives. Serve as a centralized point of coordination for KOL engagement across cross-functional departments, translating program objectives into practical workplans with clear deliverables and ownership Build and maintain relationships with external experts through responsive communication, thoughtful follow-through, and a strong understanding of stakeholder expertise, interests, prior involvement, and preferences. Engage confidently in scientific discussions with external experts, apply oncology knowledge to understand clinical context, and accurately synthesize insights, decisions, recommendations, and next steps for internal teams. Maintain accurate, current records of expert profiles, relationships, interactions, commitments, engagement history, and program activity using Salesforce, Wrike, and other approved systems. Develop and execute detailed KOL project plans for insight-generation meetings and related initiatives, including participant selection, scheduling, communications, materials, milestone tracking, and follow-up. Contribute to program and solution development by gathering stakeholder input, conducting targeted research, monitoring market and clinical developments, and helping assess alignment with life science companies and oncology practice needs Track program status, resource needs, risks, issues, and outcomes; escalate concerns promptly and provide clear updates to program leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. Maintain accurate, current records of expert profiles, relationships, interactions, commitments, engagement history, and program activity using Salesforce, Wrike, and other approved systems. Develop and implement scalable processes, standard operating procedures, communication standards, dashboards, and tracking tools that improve consistency, visibility, and execution quality. Manage multiple priorities with sound judgment, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a life science, health science, pharmacy, public health, healthcare administration, business, communications, or a related field. Seven or more years of relevant experience in strategic program or project management, scientific engagement, medical communications, medical affairs, oncology advisory boards, publications, real-world evidence, or related healthcare work. Working knowledge of the oncology landscape, including the ability to understand clinically detailed conversations and identify implications for scientific programs. Demonstrated ability to convert evolving objectives into organized workplans with defined deliverables, clear ownership, and actionable next steps. Strong project-management capabilities, including timeline development, milestone tracking, risk identification, issue escalation, resource coordination, and management of cross-functional dependencies. Exceptional relationship-management and communication skills, with the credibility and professional presence to engage physicians, senior external experts, and cross-functional colleagues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively through ambiguity. Experience designing, implementing, and improving scalable processes, workflows, tracking systems, and dashboards. Proficiency with Salesforce, Wrike, and Microsoft Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information and provide concise program updates to leadership and internal stakeholders. Ability to travel up to 30% to support in-person meetings and stakeholder engagements.   Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree (MBA, MS, MPH, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) in a biomedical, health-related, or business field. Experience supporting oncology advisory boards, scientific councils, investigator/faculty programs, publication planning, real-world evidence, or market-insights programs. Background in life sciences, healthcare technology, medical communications, or professional-services organization. Experience maintaining KOL databases, stakeholder segmentation, or relationship-management dashboards across multiple teams. Experience working in a life sciences, healthcare technology, medical communications, or professional-services organization. Experience utilizing generative AI tools to enhance reporting, process documentation, workflow automation, and executive communications   Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions: This is a remote, full-time position that requires extended computer use and frequent virtual meetings. Occasional evening availability may be required to support meetings or time-sensitive stakeholder communications.
