AI Summary

The role involves managing litigation discovery, including drafting pleadings and coordinating trial preparation, while overseeing firm operations such as billing and intake. You will serve as the primary operational engine, maintaining firm systems and acting as the main point of contact for clients and vendors.

Affinity Consulting Group is proud to partner with the Law Office of Sheri Oluyemi, LLC (LOSO, LLC), in the search for a Senior Employment Litigation Paralegal & Operations Manager.

Does this sound like you?

  • You are an experienced litigation paralegal who can confidently manage discovery from start to finish.
  • You enjoy working independently and taking ownership of your work without needing constant direction.
  • You are comfortable using legal technology and finding better ways to keep work moving.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and outside vendors.
  • You are looking for a flexible remote role and you live in the Atlanta area.

If you are looking for real ownership over your work, the opportunity to support sophisticated employment matters, and the chance to help shape efficient systems in a growing boutique practice, you may be the Litigation Paralegal we are looking for!

Why This Role Is Different

  • Real Autonomy & Respect: You are not an invisible back-office assistant or micromanaged task-doer. You are the primary operational engine of our litigation practice. You independently draft discovery, manage court timelines, and drive firm systems as a trusted colleague.
  • Modern, Zero-Chaos Tech Stack: We refuse to drench our practice in archaic paper files or manual tracking chaos. Leveraging Clio Manage, Clio Grow, and automated workflows, our technology allows you to focus on rewarding, high-leverage work.
  • Intellectually Stimulating Work: You will touch sophisticated, high-stakes matters-from executive severance negotiations to multi-day trials and arbitrations-learning and executing alongside a trial-tested lead attorney who wins cases other lawyers shy away from.
  • Culture of Outcome-Driven Focus: We measure success by precision, strategic execution, and client victory-not by 'buns in seats' or chaotic fire drills. We respect your schedule, value efficiency, and reward performance.
  • Remote with Flexibility: The firm is fully remote by design and offers a flexible, family-friendly work environment built on trust and accountability.

What You'll Do

Litigation Discovery & Case Management (60% Allocation)

  • Independent Discovery Drafting: Independently draft propounded and responded Interrogatories (Form & Special), Requests for Production (RFPs), and Requests for Admission (RFAs) in employment matters.
  • Document & Subpoena Control: Manage document collection, redact sensitive corporate/medical records, build privilege logs, and issue third-party subpoenas.
  • Deposition & Trial Preparation: Draft deposition notices, compile trial exhibit binders, synthesize deposition transcripts, and coordinate expert witness logistics.
  • Docketing & E-Filing Mastery: Maintain master litigation docket, calculate statutory court deadlines, and execute state/federal e-filings (CM/ECF, One Legal).

Firm Operations, Intake & Administration (40% Allocation)

  • Financial & Billing Logistics: Oversee monthly client billing, retainer replenishment notifications, contingency payout tracking, and collections via Clio Manage.
  • Intake Workflow Management: Monitor Clio Grow intake pipelines, ensuring all web and phone leads receive pre-screening and automated 24-hour response triage.
  • Client & Vendor Relations: Serve as the chief operational point of contact for clients, court clerks, reporters, and outside vendors.
  • Systems & SOP Optimization: Maintain and refine firm SOPs, digital document organization, and automated communication templates.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience in a fast-paced practice
  • Strong, hands-on discovery experience, including drafting requests and responses with minimal attorney oversight
  • Employment-law experience is strongly preferred, though transferable litigation experience will be considered
  • Experience with Clio Manage, Clio Grow, or similar legal practice-management systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and state and federal court filing portals
  • Exceptional organization, proofreading, written communication, and deadline-management skills
  • Someone who is self-directed, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Ability to attend in-person trials and arbitration hearings in the Atlanta area when needed
