The Job

In partnership with Planned Giving stakeholders, this leader also drives marketing strategy and vendor execution that grows Planned Giving pipeline through direct response programs, with agency management responsibilities. Integrates Planned Giving into other segments and communications. Develops and integrates donor journey map and donor insights (may deploy market/donor research). Has thorough knowledge of the Planned Giving target audience/market/discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life; actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.

Incorporates Planned Giving into appropriate frameworks.
  • Embed extensions into lifecycle journeys by partnering with Sponsor Experience, Retention, Acquisition/Onboarding, Planned Giving, and Product and channel teams to integrate prompts, content, and decisioning into key moments and channels.
  • Partner with Sr. Channel Campaign Manager to oversee Sponsorship extension execution and Planned Giving cross-sell programs, including annual planning, audience strategy, market/donor research, creative strategy, production calendars, and vendor/agency management.
  • In partnership with Planned Giving stakeholders, lead marketing strategy and execution to grow Planned Giving pipeline from sponsor and donor audiences (direct response, lead generation, and nurture), ensuring product accuracy and compliant messaging. Coordinates marketing and testing plan with all segments.
  • Build and govern an experimentation roadmap for extensions (offer, creative, audience, timing, channel mix), partnering with Analytics to design tests, define control groups, and measure incrementality, ROI, and long-term retention impact.
  • Define and monitor extension performance metrics (incremental revenue vs. control, average gift/LTV lift, retention impact, response rate, average gift, ROI) and translate insights into prioritization and scaled improvements.
  • Partner with Legal/Compliance, Finance/FP&A, Support/Service, and Brand governance to steward donor trust, safeguarding-aligned communication, and operational readiness for all extension and planned giving programs.
  • Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as part of a team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.
