General summary:

The Revenue Cycle Implementation Specialist is responsible for onboarding new clients onto our RCM platform and supporting the successful configuration and go-live of revenue cycle workflows. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of healthcare billing and RCM processes who brings hands-on experience guiding clients through software implementations and onboarding programs. The specialist serves as a key point of contact for clients during the implementation lifecycle, ensuring a smooth transition and strong early adoption.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end client onboarding for new RCM platform deployments, from kickoff through go-live and early stabilization
  • Develop and maintain implementation project plans, timelines, and milestone trackers
  • Configure client accounts, workflow settings, and system preferences based on practice type and specialty
  • Conduct training sessions (virtual and on-site) for clinical and administrative staff on RCM platform features and billing workflows
  • Serve as the primary client contact during implementation, managing expectations and escalating issues as needed
  • Coordinate with internal teams (product, support, coding, credentialing) to resolve client-specific setup requirements
  • Assist clients in mapping existing workflows to platform capabilities
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, meeting notes, and client-facing resources in project management and CRM tools
  • Contribute to the development of onboarding templates, training guides, and SOPs
  • Track implementation metrics and flag risks or timeline delays to management proactively
  • Assist RCM consulting team with gathering data requests and creating deliverables for data assessments

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or project management tracking tools
  • Apply foundational RCM knowledge to advise clients on charge capture, claim submission, denial management, and payment posting workflows
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly and to facilitate training sessions and presentations.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in managing projects from conception through to implementation and review, including time management and task prioritization.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with clients and Operations leaders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing needs, new technologies, and evolving business processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and completeness in enablement activities and documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to small groups

WORK EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare revenue cycle, medical billing, or practice management

  • 3+ years of experience in client - facing implementation, onboarding, or training role

  • Working knowledge of RCM fundamentals: CPT/ICD-10 coding basics, claim lifecycle, ERA/EOB processing, and denial management

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position is remote and requires long periods of sitting, interfacing with a desktop computer or laptop including mouse and keyboard, using a hard phone or soft phone.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5% dependent on business and client need
