Specialist, Power BI

Location: Guadalajara ECoE, Mexico

Reports to: Global Finance Project Manager

We are looking for a Junior Power BI Specialist who is passionate about data visualization and analytics, and who wants to work in an international environment supporting our operations in the United States. If you have a basic understanding of Power BI, are self-taught, and eager to learn new technologies, this opportunity might be for you.

The Junior Power BI Specialist will be responsible for developing and automating dashboards and reports, consolidating information from diverse sources, and migrating existing Excel reports into Power BI solutions. Additionally, this role will include training end-users on newly created dashboards and tools to ensure successful adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dashboards in Power BI, transforming data into clear and actionable insights.
• Consolidate and integrate data from various systems (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, Power Automate) to streamline reporting processes.
• Migrate and automate existing Excel-based reports into Power BI.
• Provide training and support to employees on Power BI dashboards and basic data analytics concepts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify reporting needs, gather requirements, and ensure effective solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to optimize reporting processes and increase efficiency.
• Participate in initiatives to simplify administrative tasks and enhance data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or nearing completion) in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 0–2 years of experience using Power BI or any other data analytics tool (internships or academic projects are acceptable).
• Technical Skills:
  • Basic Power BI knowledge (data modeling, DAX, report creation).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint) and Power Automate.
  • Python knowledge is a plus (not mandatory).
• Languages:
  • Conversational (verbal and written) English is essential for cross-border communication.

Additional Information

• Employment Type: Full-time, temporary contract (6–8 months).
• Primary Location: Remote or on-site support for multiple US plants (potential support to other regions in the future).
• Objective: Automate reports, simplify processes, and improve administrative efficiency across the organization.
