You will design end-to-end technical architectures and integration strategies while collaborating with product and sales teams to solve clinical and commercial challenges. Additionally, you will lead domain modeling, define system APIs, and provide technical guidance to engineering teams to ensure scalable, compliant solutions.
As a member of Architecture Group, you will join a highly skilled engineering organization building enterprise-grade solutions for audiology clinics and hearing care providers worldwide. This is a hands-on architecture role: you sit inside the Architecture Group, own system and integration design for your domains, and carry the same technical depth as everyone else in the group.
What makes it a solution role is the other half of the job. You will design the technical architecture - integrations, domain boundaries, system design - and you will shape the solution itself: working directly with Product, Sales, Delivery and customers to understand the clinical and commercial problem before deciding how to build for it. We are looking for someone equally comfortable in a customer workshop and in an architecture review; someone who treats "what should we build, and why" as part of their job, not someone else's.
Tech Stack: .NET, React, Azure Cloud (AKS, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Azure SQL Database), Azure DevOps.
Shape solutions from business needs
Turn customer workflows and business goals into 2–3 solution options, each with clear trade-offs and a recommendation.
Own the end-to-end design of major initiatives, from public entry points and identity to data ownership, failure handling and scale.
Challenge requirements that are unclear, conflicting or too costly, and agree scope with Product.
Produce capability maps, integration blueprints and C4 diagrams, and help Delivery plan the build order.
Work with customers and pre-sales
Run discovery and design workshops with clinics, provider groups and partners.
Support pre-sales: scoping, estimates, proposals and RFP or tender responses.
Act as the technical advisor to key customers, including during escalations.
Bring what you learn from customers and the market back into platform strategy.
Lead domain and system architecture
Shape domain models using DDD, and define APIs, event contracts and integration patterns.
Design for multi-tenancy: tenant isolation, noisy-neighbour protection and capacity planning.
Make sure patient-facing flows meet GDPR (and HIPAA where relevant), including identity checks and data protection.
Review epics for feasibility, guide teams on design and technology choices, and take part in architecture governance.
Coach engineers, and keep architecture documentation and ADRs current.
Designing from an unclear brief. A proven record of turning business requirements into end-to-end designs on your own, including the public entry points, data ownership and failure modes, without a ready-made architecture to start from.
Architecture decisions you personally owned. 10+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years as an architect on enterprise SaaS. You can explain the hardest decisions you made, the options you rejected, and why.
Clear communication with any audience. You explain designs directly and briefly to engineers, executives and customers, and you are comfortable in pre-sales and commercial meetings.
Multi-tenant SaaS at scale. Hands-on experience with tenant isolation, capacity planning, finding bottlenecks and handling traffic spikes.
Integration and event-driven design. Practical experience with message buses, event streaming, REST APIs and webhooks, and with keeping data consistent across services (idempotency, outbox, event versioning).
Regulated data. You design security and privacy into systems that hold personal or health data. GDPR is required; HIPAA is a plus.
Azure. Strong experience designing on Azure, ideally AKS, Service Bus, Event Hubs and Azure SQL.
DDD and Clean Architecture. Solid working knowledge, applied in real systems.
Documentation. High-quality diagrams (C4 or similar) and ADRs.
Fluent English.
Healthcare integration experience (EHR/EMR, HL7, FHIR).
Work in healthcare, clinical or other regulated fields, especially with hospital or public-sector customers.
Scheduling, booking or other high-concurrency transactional systems.
Hands-on AI/ML, LLM or agent-based architecture.
Azure certifications.
Familiarity with .NET and React.
A degree in computer science or a related field.
