🚀 Your role

We have described the performance dimensions for software engineers at luminovo in this RFC. This link leads you straight to our internal documentation, so you’ll already get a feeling for how we communicate within the team.

We're looking for a product-minded engineer to join our Suppliers team — the team behind the experiences that connect Luminovo to the suppliers our customers source from every day.

• Your work will span maintaining and evolving our supplier login, building out our new business supplier portal, and maintaining and refactoring our merger tool, while also supporting the team through code reviews.

• We call this a "product engineer" and not just a "software engineer" because we want you involved in figuring out what to build, not only building it. You'll join customer calls, build a real understanding of the domain, and help shape pragmatic solutions we can ship and learn from.

• We expect you to bring strong technical experience and product thinking, balancing technical excellence with what creates the most value for the product and its users.

We always try to use the best tools available for the job. Don't worry, we don't need you to be familiar with all of these:

• Rust for our main monolith — and central to the supplier codebase you'll be working in

• Encore and TypeScript for the backend

• React and TypeScript for the frontend

• PostgreSQL for persisting our data

• Sentry and Honeycomb for monitoring and observability

• Azure for cloud computing
